Once again the healing this verse is speaking of I believe is our spiritual healing. But without a spiritual relationship with God we can not expect physical healing from God.

casino slots honeycomb 1 Peter 2:24
24 Who his own self bare our sins in his own body on the tree, that we, being dead to sins, should live unto righteousness: by whose stripes ye were healed.

The healing this verse is speaking of I believe is our spiritual healing.

Isaiah 53:5
5 But he was wounded for our transgressions, he was bruised for our iniquities: the chastisement of our peace was upon him; and with his stripes we are healed.

8/27/2017

Our health is much more valuable than wealth. But our soul must prosper in God’s word or all is for naught.

3 John 2
2 Beloved, I wish above all things that thou mayest prosper and be in health, even as thy soul prospereth.

8/26/2017

Many people today do not believe in anointing with oil, but here it is written to have the elders pray and anoint with oil. If you are in need of healing or any other need why not follow Gods word?

James 5:14
14 Is any sick among you? let him call for the elders of the church; and let them pray over him, anointing him with oil in the name of the Lord:

8/25/2017

If you are not a strong Christian seek out a strong Christian to pray with you and for you or pray together for the healing of someone in need.

James 5:16
16 Confess your faults one to another, and pray one for another, that ye may be healed. The effectual fervent prayer of a righteous man availeth much.

8/24/2017

When two or more come together laying hands upon what or who they are praying for it shall be done.

Matthew 18:19
19 Again I say unto you, That if two of you shall agree on earth as touching any thing that they shall ask, it shall be done for them of my Father which is in heaven.

8/23/2017

If you have a need, a need for healing or anything else. Let God know you want his help, he knows you have a need but just like with salvation until you ask him he does not act because he has given us free will. So he is just waiting on you to ask for healing. Does that mean it will happen instantly? Not necessarily! God works on his time not ours so you must wait upon the Lord, but keep the faith that he is going to answer your prayer.

Philippians 4:6
6 Be careful for nothing; but in every thing by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God.

8/22/2017

So even though none of you shared my post from yesterday as I asked you to do. God can still answer my prayers for healing of this person I have been praying for. I trusted in man to stand behind me but you didn’t, God will not let me down.

Mark 10:27
27 And Jesus looking upon them saith, With men it is impossible, but not with God: for with God all things are possible.

8/21/2017

It has been heavy on my heart to share some verses on healing and prayers for healing. We are still fighting our battle with money problems and have not found the answer to that situation but we just have to keep praying and trusting God will take care of that issue in his time. So on to healing and prayers for healing. We attend church with some people who have a great need for physical healing and it breaks my heart every time I see this person because I feel like this person would certainly prefer not to be in the condition in which they are presently in. So each time I see this person and every time I think about this person I say a prayer for this persons healing. And I will continue to do so because I know in my heart that God can and will heal. I was going to ask for at least 250,000 prayers for us as this is the amount of money we need to eliminate our personal and business debt as well as make the changes to or add additional products and services to our business in order for it to fully support us without having to constantly worry about how we are going to pay the bills. But instead I am going to ask each person who reads our Verse of the day to share and pray for this person. Not because I somehow think this would benefit us but because I believe this person needs to be healed so they can resume normal life. Now I also know this has to be Gods will and I completely understand that even prayer will not change God’s will but if enough people share and pray I believe we will see this healing happen.

James 5:15
15 And the prayer of faith shall save the sick, and the Lord shall raise him up; and if he have committed sins, they shall be forgiven him.

To be rich at the hands or by the will of the Lord is one thing but when you become rich by causing misery and strife for others you will be condemned. I think most of our politicians today need to read and take these verses to heart.

James 5:1-6
5 Go to now, ye rich men, weep and howl for your miseries that shall come upon you.
2 Your riches are corrupted, and your garments are motheaten.
3 Your gold and silver is cankered; and the rust of them shall be a witness against you, and shall eat your flesh as it were fire. Ye have heaped treasure together for the last days.
4 Behold, the hire of the labourers who have reaped down your fields, which is of you kept back by fraud, crieth: and the cries of them which have reaped are entered into the ears of the Lord of sabaoth.
5 Ye have lived in pleasure on the earth, and been wanton; ye have nourished your hearts, as in a day of slaughter.
6 Ye have condemned and killed the just; and he doth not resist you.

8/19/2017

God does not have to have your tithes but as obedience to him we should freely give our tithes to him.

Proverbs 3:9
9 Honour the Lord with thy substance, and with the firstfruits of all thine increase:

8/18/2017

Lord I am so ready to be lifted up and not be poor! Oh wait I am already lifted up and not poor. So Lord I am ready to be lifted up higher and not have to worry how we are going to pay the bills. Are you ready to be lifted up? Have you asked to be lifted up? If not, what are you waiting for? Lord my prayer is for you to continue to lift us up and make us rich.
1 Samuel 2:7
7 The Lord maketh poor, and maketh rich: he bringeth low, and lifteth up.

8/17/2017

If you are looking for treasure or wealth seek the Lord first, that relationship is beyond any worldly riches.

Matthew 13:44
44 Again, the kingdom of heaven is like unto treasure hid in a field; the which when a man hath found, he hideth, and for joy thereof goeth and selleth all that he hath, and buyeth that field.

8/16/2017

Obey God, do his good works and he will reward you. Beware of things that come to easily they may be the tricks of the devil. Share with others what God has blessed you with not just wealth but most importantly share his word and his love. Be blessed by the Lord and your blessings shall not diminish.

1 Peter 5:2-13King
2 Feed the flock of God which is among you, taking the oversight thereof, not by constraint, but willingly; not for filthy lucre, but of a ready mind;
3 Neither as being lords over God’s heritage, but being examples to the flock.
4 And when the chief Shepherd shall appear, ye shall receive a crown of glory that fadeth not away.
5 Likewise, ye younger, submit yourselves unto the elder. Yea, all of you be subject one to another, and be clothed with humility: for God resisteth the proud, and giveth grace to the humble.
6 Humble yourselves therefore under the mighty hand of God, that he may exalt you in due time:
7 Casting all your care upon him; for he careth for you.
8 Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil, as a roaring lion, walketh about, seeking whom he may devour:
9 Whom resist stedfast in the faith, knowing that the same afflictions are accomplished in your brethren that are in the world.
10 But the God of all grace, who hath called us unto his eternal glory by Christ Jesus, after that ye have suffered a while, make you perfect, stablish, strengthen, settle you.
11 To him be glory and dominion for ever and ever. Amen.
12 By Silvanus, a faithful brother unto you, as I suppose, I have written briefly, exhorting, and testifying that this is the true grace of God wherein ye stand.
13 The church that is at Babylon, elected together with you, saluteth you; and so doth Marcus my son.

8/15/2017

When you are truly blessed by God and your wealth is great through him, you will never need to turn to those of the world for anything.

Deuteronomy 28:12
12 The Lord shall open unto thee his good treasure, the heaven to give the rain unto thy land in his season, and to bless all the work of thine hand: and thou shalt lend unto many nations, and thou shalt not borrow.

8/14/2017

Have you been trying to get rich and either everything fails or you have actually accumulated great wealth but yet you still are not satisfied. Maybe the problem is you have not depended on the Lord and gained knowledge and wisdom of how he wants you to live for him first. Then great things beyond your wildest dreams he may bestow upon you.

2 Chronicles 1:11-12
11 And God said to Solomon, Because this was in thine heart, and thou hast not asked riches, wealth, or honour, nor the life of thine enemies, neither yet hast asked long life; but hast asked wisdom and knowledge for thyself, that thou mayest judge my people, over whom I have made thee king:
12 Wisdom and knowledge is granted unto thee; and I will give thee riches, and wealth, and honour, such as none of the kings have had that have been before thee, neither shall there any after thee have the like.

8/13/2017

I do not think you should sell everything you have and give the money to the Lord, unless those things come between you and the Lord. Were your things and money blessings from God or stumbling blocks from Satan. If your not sure maybe it is time to sell and turn back to God.

Acts 4:34
34 Neither was there any among them that lacked: for as many as were possessors of lands or houses sold them, and brought the prices of the things that were sold,

8/12/2017

When you let money and worldly things come between you and God you may still look good to the world but you loose your ability to be a lighthouse for the Lord.

Matthew 13:22
22 He also that received seed among the thorns is he that heareth the word; and the care of this world, and the deceitfulness of riches, choke the word, and he becometh unfruitful.

8/11/2017

Serve the Lord or serve the world it is your choice. But if you choose to glorify yourself by becoming wealthy then this is an abomination to God. Use what you are blessed with to serve the Lord and help others.

Luke 16:13-15
13 No servant can serve two masters: for either he will hate the one, and love the other; or else he will hold to the one, and despise the other. Ye cannot serve God and mammon.
14 And the Pharisees also, who were covetous, heard all these things: and they derided him.
15 And he said unto them, Ye are they which justify yourselves before men; but God knoweth your hearts: for that which is highly esteemed among men is abomination in the sight of God.

8/10/2017

Many people think money is the answer to all of their problems. And money can help with some problems. But a strong relationship with God can take care of all of your problems.

Ecclesiastes 7:12
12 For wisdom is a defence, and money is a defence: but the excellency of knowledge is, that wisdom giveth life to them that have it.

8/9/2017

You must work to provide for your self, and you should build up enough extra to finish that job. But when it is more important to you than God it is all for naught.

Luke 14:28
28 For which of you, intending to build a tower, sitteth not down first, and counteth the cost, whether he have sufficient to finish it?

8/8/2017

The other night a man I was talking to opened his wallet and handed a preacher some money, I jokingly said hey if you are handing out money I will take some. He said he was giving to the preacher to make sure he got to Heaven. He was just kidding but if you think you can buy your way to Heaven you will find out one day that you may be wealthy here on earth but in the end you will be wretched, miserable and spending eternity in hell

Revelation 3:17
17 Because thou sayest, I am rich, and increased with goods, and have need of nothing; and knowest not that thou art wretched, and miserable, and poor, and blind, and naked:

8/7/2017

Proverbs 10:4
4 He becometh poor that dealeth with a slack hand: but the hand of the diligent maketh rich.

I know you have all seen or know people that seem to profit no matter how crooked they may be. But they may have riches here on earth but that is not going to help them in the pits of Hell.

8/6/2017

Mark 12:41-44
41 And Jesus sat over against the treasury, and beheld how the people cast money into the treasury: and many that were rich cast in much.
42 And there came a certain poor widow, and she threw in two mites, which make a farthing.
43 And he called unto him his disciples, and saith unto them, Verily I say unto you, That this poor widow hath cast more in, than all they which have cast into the treasury:
44 For all they did cast in of their abundance; but she of her want did cast in all that she had, even all her living.

When the rich give to the Lord but it is only of their excess it means less to the Lord than when the poor give all that they have. It is easy for someone with abundance to give when it will make know difference in how they live but when the poor give and it may be the money they need for bills or groceries it is generally given with their heart and this means more to the Lord than the giving from someone with excess.

8/5/2017

Acts 8:20
20 But Peter said unto him, Thy money perish with thee, because thou hast thought that the gift of God may be purchased with money.

You can not buy your way into Heaven with money. It take your heart and soul.

8/4/2017

Matthew 6:1-4
6 Take heed that ye do not your alms before men, to be seen of them: otherwise ye have no reward of your Father which is in heaven.
2 Therefore when thou doest thine alms, do not sound a trumpet before thee, as the hypocrites do in the synagogues and in the streets, that they may have glory of men. Verily I say unto you, They have their reward.
3 But when thou doest alms, let not thy left hand know what thy right hand doeth:
4 That thine alms may be in secret: and thy Father which seeth in secret himself shall reward thee openly.

When you give to the Lord or others do not boast about it, give without letting the world know what you have done.

8/3/2017

Deuteronomy 15:7
7 If there be among you a poor man of one of thy brethren within any of thy gates in thy land which the Lord thy God giveth thee, thou shalt not harden thine heart, nor shut thine hand from thy poor brother:

Give to those in need especially those who are your brother or sister in Christ. Give in faith and charity and if they miss use what is given it is not on you.

8/2/2017

Luke 12:33
33 Sell that ye have, and give alms; provide yourselves bags which wax not old, a treasure in the heavens that faileth not, where no thief approacheth, neither moth corrupteth.

All your worldly goods will eventually decay but nothing or nobody can take away your salvation with the Lord. Except blasphemy of the Holy Ghost.

8/1/2017

1 Timothy 6:17-19
17 Charge them that are rich in this world, that they be not highminded, nor trust in uncertain riches, but in the living God, who giveth us richly all things to enjoy;
18 That they do good, that they be rich in good works, ready to distribute, willing to communicate;
19 Laying up in store for themselves a good foundation against the time to come, that they may lay hold on eternal life.

Do not trust in your riches, but instead trust in God. The only riches you can take with you into death is the richness of your relationship with the Lord.

7/31/2017

Matthew 21:12-13
12 And Jesus went into the temple of God, and cast out all them that sold and bought in the temple, and overthrew the tables of the moneychangers, and the seats of them that sold doves,
13 And said unto them, It is written, My house shall be called the house of prayer; but ye have made it a den of thieves.

Perhaps this relates to todays mega churches that constantly ask for money for one project or another but mainly to make the operators of said churches rich.

7/30/2017

Deuteronomy 23:19
19 Thou shalt not lend upon usury to thy brother; usury of money, usury of victuals, usury of any thing that is lent upon usury:

When you lend to your brother do not require interest, but the debt should be repaid.

7/29/2017

1 Timothy 6:10
10 For the love of money is the root of all evil: which while some coveted after, they have erred from the faith, and pierced themselves through with many sorrows.

So once again I will share my opinion, I do not think you should not want better things or to have enough money to live well, but if money or things are the main focus of your life you need to refocus. I left a career that allowed my family to have pretty much anything they wanted, but the cost of that was I was never at home and seldom got to attend church. Although we struggle now with paying bills and such God always provides.

7/28/2017

Exodus 22:25
25 If thou lend money to any of my people that is poor by thee, thou shalt not be to him as an usurer, neither shalt thou lay upon him usury.
How many of you have seen these ads where they will lend you some ridiculous amount of money but it has like a 300% interest rate? And the sad thing is people actually take these loans. But we should never loan people money and charge interest that is unfair, and you should never borrow money on these terms.

7/27/2017

Luke 3:14
14 And the soldiers likewise demanded of him, saying, And what shall we do? And he said unto them, Do violence to no man, neither accuse any falsely; and be content with your wages.

So if we are to be content with our wages does this mean we should not ever try to do better or get a better job? No! I think and this is only my opinion, but if you do not strive to do better then you are just like the man who received money and buried or hid it instead of using it to make it grow. You should strive to do better but be happy with what you have until the Lord blesses you with something better.

7/26/2017

Who or what is the Master of your life? We all work so hard to provide for our families and this is not wrong for the Lord tells us to work six days and on the Sabbath to rest. But what are you working for, wealth and fame? Or to glorify the Lord.
Matthew 6:24
24 No man can serve two masters: for either he will hate the one, and love the other; or else he will hold to the one, and despise the other. Ye cannot serve God and mammon.

7/25/2017

You say you want God to bless you with wisdom, money, health, beauty or anything else. But is your heart not only in that request but also is that request to glorify God or is it for your own vanity.
Proverbs 17:16
16 Wherefore is there a price in the hand of a fool to get wisdom, seeing he hath no heart to it?

7/24/2017

There are very few who would do this then or now. But you can willingly give to those in need and God will bless you more than you can ever imagine. We are blessed every day even though we are sometimes a little late paying a bill, God always supplies our needs, maybe not when and how we would like but he always comes through.
Matthew 19:21
21 Jesus said unto him, If thou wilt be perfect, go and sell that thou hast, and give to the poor, and thou shalt have treasure in heaven: and come and follow me.

7/23/2017

I guess this is why Alice and I seem to help so many people even when it is a burden on us.
1 Peter 5:2
2 Feed the flock of God which is among you, taking the oversight thereof, not by constraint, but willingly; not for filthy lucre, but of a ready mind;

7/22/2017

I was thinking it is funny how God sometimes works out problems in our lives. But it is not funny or coincidence it is his plan, he wants to take care of our problems but all to often we do not let him. Be happy with what you have and you may just be surprised by how the Lord blesses you. He is always there and always working for you.
Hebrews 13:5
5 Let your conversation be without covetousness; and be content with such things as ye have: for he hath said, I will never leave thee, nor forsake thee.

7/21/2017

Have you ever heard the saying “Easy Come, Easy Go”? So if you do not work for what you have or what you receive it will most likely not last. Many times if someone receives a large some of money they quickly blow it because they did not work for it therefore they do not realize how hard it would be to work and earn that same amount of money. God rewards those who are good stewards of what they have.
Proverbs 13:11
11 Wealth gotten by vanity shall be diminished: but he that gathereth by labour shall increase.

7/20/2017

Although we as humans generally do not agree with this, it is better to live a meek existence than to have riches through a wicked lifestyle.
Psalm 37:16-17
16 A little that a righteous man hath is better than the riches of many wicked.
17 For the arms of the wicked shall be broken: but the Lord upholdeth the righteous.

7/19/2017

I certainly wish we were at this point in life, but we are not. We work daily to live debt free but once you have gotten into that rut it is very difficult to get out. But even though we have huge personal and business debt, we still try to help others when we can. Because what we have been blessed with, even if it comes with the burden of debt, is still a blessing and through love we must share what we have with others.
Romans 13:8
8 Owe no man any thing, but to love one another: for he that loveth another hath fulfilled the law.

7/18/2017

How can you tell if your love of money or possessions has gotten out of hand? If your love for money or possessions can not be quenched and you can not be satisfied with what you have then you may very well be in trouble. Seek God’s guidance.
Ecclesiastes 5:10
10 He that loveth silver shall not be satisfied with silver; nor he that loveth abundance with increase: this is also vanity.

7/17/2017

So give your tithes and the Lord will flood you with riches that you can not even imagine. I don’t exactly think that is what this verse means although there are those who have a very favorable relationship with God and riches of this world also. So if you are struggling like us does that mean you are doing something wrong? Not necessarily but look at what you do with what you have and see if you could do better.
Malachi 3:10
10 Bring ye all the tithes into the storehouse, that there may be meat in mine house, and prove me now herewith, saith the Lord of hosts, if I will not open you the windows of heaven, and pour you out a blessing, that there shall not be room enough to receive it.

7/16/2017

Our last 20 days the focus of our verses has been primarily on faith and having a stronger relationship with God. The next topic of our verses is on money, debt, giving and other financial matters. This hits home for us right now because like so many others we are struggling to make ends meet. We both work more than 60hrs a week but we are still drowning in debt. We have faith that the Lord will provide a way for us to get through this but we can not yet see the path he has for us, so hopefully this next few weeks study will help not only us but many others who are facing the same situation.

My treasure used to lye in what I owned but as I grow older I realize that putting on heirs for others is not important any more. Sure we still want to have nice things but having peace of mind and not having to worry about bills is much more important than having things. We are trying to downsize by getting rid of two cars with payment down to just one but it is proving to be harder than we expected. But we must have faith that the Lord will work this out for us, and yet we must be better stewards of what he does give us. So where does your treasure lye with the things of this world or with God?
Matthew 6:21
21 For where your treasure is, there will your heart be also.

7/15/2017

I am ready to fly like an Eagle and overcome the things in this world that have me down. Therefore I must continue to trust in the Lord.
Isaiah 40:28-31
28 Hast thou not known? hast thou not heard, that the everlasting God, the Lord, the Creator of the ends of the earth, fainteth not, neither is weary? there is no searching of his understanding.
29 He giveth power to the faint; and to them that have no might he increaseth strength.
30 Even the youths shall faint and be weary, and the young men shall utterly fall:
31 But they that wait upon the Lord shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint.

7/14/2017

Don’t let your trust in man come between you and the Lord, man will let you down but the Lord will always be there for you.
Jeremiah 17:5
5 Thus saith the Lord; Cursed be the man that trusteth in man, and maketh flesh his arm, and whose heart departeth from the Lord.

7/13/2017

Sometimes it is hard not to fear the things and circumstances of this world, but trust in the Lord at all times.
Isaiah 41:10
10 Fear thou not; for I am with thee: be not dismayed; for I am thy God: I will strengthen thee; yea, I will help thee; yea, I will uphold thee with the right hand of my righteousness.

7/12/2017

Who is your strength? If it is anyone or anything besides God you need to change that.
Exodus 15:2
2 The Lord is my strength and song, and he is become my salvation: he is my God, and I will prepare him an habitation; my father’s God, and I will exalt him.

7/11/2017

Pray to the Lord continually for guidance and strength.
1 Chronicles 16:11
11 Seek the Lord and his strength, seek his face continually.

7/10/2017

Trust in the Lord to give you words to share with others, but only share what you know. Don’t make up or change Gods word.
1 Peter 4:11-12
11 If any man speak, let him speak as the oracles of God; if any man minister, let him do it as of the ability which God giveth: that God in all things may be glorified through Jesus Christ, to whom be praise and dominion for ever and ever. Amen.
12 Beloved, think it not strange concerning the fiery trial which is to try you, as though some strange thing happened unto you:

7/9/2017

Don’t be sorrowful for those who have a less abundant life than you do, share what you have with others. You probably think I am talking about monetary things but that is not all that I am talking about. Share your Love and knowledge of the Lord and his word, this can mean more to someone’s eternal life than all the riches here on earth….
Nehemiah 8:10
10 Then he said unto them, Go your way, eat the fat, and drink the sweet, and send portions unto them for whom nothing is prepared: for this day is holy unto our Lord: neither be ye sorry; for the joy of the Lord is your strength.

7/8/2017

No man is as wise or as strong as God and he does not expect us to be. But when he comes into your heart be wise enough to accept him, for there are many that will miss the calling and few that will accept the call.
1 Corinthians 1:25-26
25 Because the foolishness of God is wiser than men; and the weakness of God is stronger than men.
26 For ye see your calling, brethren, how that not many wise men after the flesh, not many mighty, not many noble, are called:

Not by your power or your hand shall you have a life more abundant, but by trusting and serving the Lord fully.
Zechariah 4:6-7
6 Then he answered and spake unto me, saying, This is the word of the Lord unto Zerubbabel, saying, Not by might, nor by power, but by my spirit, saith the Lord of hosts.
7 Who art thou, O great mountain? before Zerubbabel thou shalt become a plain: and he shall bring forth the headstone thereof with shoutings, crying, Grace, grace unto it.

7/6/2017

Before you can fully experience the greatness of God, you must forgive, stop coveting and speaking evil of others.
1 Peter 2:1-5
2 Wherefore laying aside all malice, and all guile, and hypocrisies, and envies, and all evil speakings,
2 As newborn babes, desire the sincere milk of the word, that ye may grow thereby:
3 If so be ye have tasted that the Lord is gracious.
4 To whom coming, as unto a living stone, disallowed indeed of men, but chosen of God, and precious,
5 Ye also, as lively stones, are built up a spiritual house, an holy priesthood, to offer up spiritual sacrifices, acceptable to God by Jesus Christ.

7/5/2017

You have all heard of prosperity Gospel, and most of the time it is a bunch of rubbish. But here are some verses that show by doing as God commands through his word and by faith in him we can have a more abundant life.
Jeremiah 11:1-5
11 The word that came to Jeremiah from the Lord saying,
2 Hear ye the words of this covenant, and speak unto the men of Judah, and to the inhabitants of Jerusalem;
3 And say thou unto them, Thus saith the Lord God of Israel; Cursed be the man that obeyeth not the words of this covenant,
4 Which I commanded your fathers in the day that I brought them forth out of the land of Egypt, from the iron furnace, saying, Obey my voice, and do them, according to all which I command you: so shall ye be my people, and I will be your God:
5 That I may perform the oath which I have sworn unto your fathers, to give them a land flowing with milk and honey, as it is this day. Then answered I, and said, So be it, O Lord.

7/4/2017

The Lord could clean up this mess of a place we call Earth if we would only turn to him and trust him. But as it is written in God’s word that will not happen. Not because he could not make it happen but because evil infects far more people than Faith in the Lord does.
Isaiah 4:1-5
4 And in that day seven women shall take hold of one man, saying, We will eat our own bread, and wear our own apparel: only let us be called by thy name, to take away our reproach.
2 In that day shall the branch of the Lord be beautiful and glorious, and the fruit of the earth shall be excellent and comely for them that are escaped of Israel.
3 And it shall come to pass, that he that is left in Zion, and he that remaineth in Jerusalem, shall be called holy, even every one that is written among the living in Jerusalem:
4 When the Lord shall have washed away the filth of the daughters of Zion, and shall have purged the blood of Jerusalem from the midst thereof by the spirit of judgment, and by the spirit of burning.
5 And the Lord will create upon every dwelling place of mount Zion, and upon her assemblies, a cloud and smoke by day, and the shining of a flaming fire by night: for upon all the glory shall be a defence.

7/3/2017

The things of the Lord are good, live for him and with him and your life can be good also.
Psalm 33:4-6
4 For the word of the Lord is right; and all his works are done in truth.
5 He loveth righteousness and judgment: the earth is full of the goodness of the Lord.
6 By the word of the Lord were the heavens made; and all the host of them by the breath of his mouth.

7/2/2017

Build your Faith in the Lord and strengthen your armory against the enemy by reading and studying the word of God. With the Lord on your side nothing can defeat you.
2 Chronicles 32:1-5
32 After these things, and the establishment thereof, Sennacherib king of Assyria came, and entered into Judah, and encamped against the fenced cities, and thought to win them for himself.
2 And when Hezekiah saw that Sennacherib was come, and that he was purposed to fight against Jerusalem,
3 He took counsel with his princes and his mighty men to stop the waters of the fountains which were without the city: and they did help him.
4 So there was gathered much people together, who stopped all the fountains, and the brook that ran through the midst of the land, saying, Why should the kings of Assyria come, and find much water?
5 Also he strengthened himself, and built up all the wall that was broken, and raised it up to the towers, and another wall without, and repaired Millo in the city of David, and made darts and shields in abundance.

7/1/2017

Just by the creation of the World and all the things on it and around it you have no excuse not to believe in God.
Romans 1:18-20
18 For the wrath of God is revealed from heaven against all ungodliness and unrighteousness of men, who hold the truth in unrighteousness;
19 Because that which may be known of God is manifest in them; for God hath shewed it unto them.
20 For the invisible things of him from the creation of the world are clearly seen, being understood by the things that are made, even his eternal power and Godhead; so that they are without excuse:

6/30/2017

Don’t let your love of praise by others keep you from believing in God. Because then you will not believe the miracles you see with your own eyes.
John 12:37-43
37 But though he had done so many miracles before them, yet they believed not on him:
38 That the saying of Esaias the prophet might be fulfilled, which he spake, Lord, who hath believed our report? and to whom hath the arm of the Lord been revealed?
39 Therefore they could not believe, because that Esaias said again,
40 He hath blinded their eyes, and hardened their heart; that they should not see with their eyes, nor understand with their heart, and be converted, and I should heal them.
41 These things said Esaias, when he saw his glory, and spake of him.
42 Nevertheless among the chief rulers also many believed on him; but because of the Pharisees they did not confess him, lest they should be put out of the synagogue:
43 For they loved the praise of men more than the praise of God.

6/29/2017

Contrary to popular belief not all sin is forgiven.
Luke 12:8-10
8 Also I say unto you, Whosoever shall confess me before men, him shall the Son of man also confess before the angels of God:
9 But he that denieth me before men shall be denied before the angels of God.
10 And whosoever shall speak a word against the Son of man, it shall be forgiven him: but unto him that blasphemeth against the Holy Ghost it shall not be forgiven.

6/28/2017

Would it take a miracle happening in your life for you to believe in God? Or do you believe by Faith that he is the one and only true God.
2 Kings 5:13-15
13 And his servants came near, and spake unto him, and said, My father, if the prophet had bid thee do some great thing, wouldest thou not have done it? how much rather then, when he saith to thee, Wash, and be clean?
14 Then went he down, and dipped himself seven times in Jordan, according to the saying of the man of God: and his flesh came again like unto the flesh of a little child, and he was clean.
15 And he returned to the man of God, he and all his company, and came, and stood before him: and he said, Behold, now I know that there is no God in all the earth, but in Israel: now therefore, I pray thee, take a blessing of thy servant.

6/27/2017

Trust in the Lord through Faith, because without Faith you can not trust.
Galatians 3:6-9
6 Even as Abraham believed God, and it was accounted to him for righteousness.
7 Know ye therefore that they which are of faith, the same are the children of Abraham.
8 And the scripture, foreseeing that God would justify the heathen through faith, preached before the gospel unto Abraham, saying, In thee shall all nations be blessed.
9 So then they which be of faith are blessed with faithful Abraham.

6/26/2017

Where does your trust lie? Do you trust in yourself, or your fellow man? Trust in the Lord first and he will never let you down.
Genesis 15:6-10
6 And he believed in the Lord; and he counted it to him for righteousness.
7 And he said unto him, I am the Lord that brought thee out of Ur of the Chaldees, to give thee this land to inherit it.
8 And he said, Lord God, whereby shall I know that I shall inherit it?
9 And he said unto him, Take me an heifer of three years old, and a she goat of three years old, and a ram of three years old, and a turtledove, and a young pigeon.
10 And he took unto him all these, and divided them in the midst, and laid each piece one against another: but the birds divided he not.

11/20/16

First off I would like to say thank you to all of you who have continued to like and share Verse of the Day. It has been over seven months since the last time I even looked at Verse of the Day. When I lost my job in Iowa I was very bitter, not at God but at people in general. People I thought would have stood behind me let me down and it affected my entire family. It has been a crazy 7 months, we have been in and out of church (mostly out) and have had several very hard circumstances. But when we went to church today I realized that this is my mission . I love to preach Gods word but I am not a good public speaker. I get very emotional because when God gives me a message to share I want people to understand it is from God and not me and sometimes people just don’t take to heart what they are hearing. But any way todays message was about Love, specifically Gods unconditional love for all people. My very first message I preached was about Love and so this touched me in a way I really can not explain. I am not going to make any promises here but I am going to make a very ernest effort to continue posting a new verse each day.

But for today I just want to share this with you. Think for a moment about what you love the most not including God. Now most of us love someone more than anything else in the world, but there are some that if you are honest will say you love some thing (a car, a house, money or other items) more than anything else in the world. For those I say God help you but any way here is my point. If you really love God then whatever else besides God that you love so dearly you should be willing to give up to a total stranger unconditionally. Now be honest how many of us would do that? Not many. But God even though he knew us before we were born basically gave his son for each of us.

Love is really what God is all about and without his love how can we really love or be loving toward one another.
God Bless and again thank you for continuing to follow the Verse of the Day.

I really don’t know how anyone could doubt the existence of God but here are some verses to reassure you of his existence.

4/22/16

John 8:47

47 He that is of God heareth God’s words: ye therefore hear them not, because ye are not of God.

Strong, strong words. If you do not hear from God and feel his influence and conviction in your life you are not of God.

4/21/16

Hosea 3:4-5

4 For the children of Israel shall abide many days without a king, and without a prince, and without a sacrifice, and without an image, and without an ephod, and without teraphim:
5 Afterward shall the children of Israel return, and seek the Lord their God, and David their king; and shall fear the Lord and his goodness in the latter days.

4/20/16

Isaiah 43:9

9 Let all the nations be gathered together, and let the people be assembled: who among them can declare this, and shew us former things? let them bring forth their witnesses, that they may be justified: or let them hear, and say, It is truth.

4/19/16

Psalm 19:1

19 The heavens declare the glory of God; and the firmament sheweth his handywork.

Look at the world around you, at the beauty and glory of nature. How could anyone not believe in God?

4/18/16

Romans 1:20

20 For the invisible things of him from the creation of the world are clearly seen, being understood by the things that are made, even his eternal power and Godhead; so that they are without excuse:

4/17/16

John 20:29-31

29 Jesus saith unto him, Thomas, because thou hast seen me, thou hast believed: blessed are they that have not seen, and yet have believed.
30 And many other signs truly did Jesus in the presence of his disciples, which are not written in this book:
31 But these are written, that ye might believe that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of God; and that believing ye might have life through his name.

4/16/16

John 14:9-14

9 Jesus saith unto him, Have I been so long time with you, and yet hast thou not known me, Philip? he that hath seen me hath seen the Father; and how sayest thou then, Show us the Father?
10 Believest thou not that I am in the Father, and the Father in me? the words that I speak unto you I speak not of myself: but the Father that dwelleth in me, he doeth the works.
11 Believe me that I am in the Father, and the Father in me: or else believe me for the very works’ sake.
12 Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that believeth on me, the works that I do shall he do also; and greater works than these shall he do; because I go unto my Father.
13 And whatsoever ye shall ask in my name, that will I do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son.
14 If ye shall ask any thing in my name, I will do it.

4/15/16

John 1:14,18

14 And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, (and we beheld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father,) full of grace and truth.

18 No man hath seen God at any time, the only begotten Son, which is in the bosom of the Father, he hath declared him.

4/14/16

Psalm 41:3

3 The Lord will strengthen him upon the bed of languishing: thou wilt make all his bed in his sickness.

It is God who gives healing not man or anyone else. So what about doctors? They treat symptoms, but the healing comes from God.

4/13/16

Mark 5:41-43

41 And he took the damsel by the hand, and said unto her, Talitha cumi; which is, being interpreted, Damsel, I say unto thee, arise.
42 And straightway the damsel arose, and walked; for she was of the age of twelve years. And they were astonished with a great astonishment.
43 And he charged them straitly that no man should know it; and commanded that something should be given her to eat.

If you have a need you can come to the church or elders or even another believer in a public or private situation. If you are healed it will glorify God. But those who pray for others and make it a public spectacle you should be leery of.

4/12/16

Acts 28:8

8 And it came to pass, that the father of Publius lay sick of a fever and of a bloody flux: to whom Paul entered in, and prayed, and laid his hands on him, and healed him.

Many professing Christians today do not believe in the laying on of hands or anointing with oil. When someone lays there hand on you there is a physical bond between you and the person praying for you. Your desire for healing becomes their desire and your faith is joined with there’s. And although the prayer is for healing we must remember that all things are in God’s hands and his will must be our desire. Also it is not the person who is laying on hands and praying but God who gives healing.

4/11/16

James 5:14-15

14 Is any sick among you? let him call for the elders of the church; and let them pray over him, anointing him with oil in the name of the Lord:
15 And the prayer of faith shall save the sick, and the Lord shall raise him up; and if he have committed sins, they shall be forgiven him.

Just as it is written here in these verses, God can heal the sick. So why do some who go to God and ask for healing not receive that healing? That is a good question and one that I can not answer. But yet I still have faith that God can heal any type of sickness. Here in the last part of verse 15 it says that if a sick person has committed sin it will also be forgiven. I don’t think that this means that you had to have sinned or that sin caused a persons sickness. Just look at all the innocent children that are plagued with all types of illness. The main point here to remember is that God has the ability to heal the sick.

4/10/16

Acts 8:12

12 But when they believed Philip preaching the things concerning the kingdom of God, and the name of Jesus Christ, they were baptized, both men and women.

God’s word is for man, woman and child. And the sooner someone receives God’s word the better.

4/9/16

Acts 8:5

5 Then Philip went down to the city of Samaria, and preached Christ unto them.

Even in places where you do not expect people to be receptive to God’s word you may be surprised at how many people are wanting and needing someone to share the word with them.

4/8/16

Acts 2:41

41 Then they that gladly received his word were baptized: and the same day there were added unto them about three thousand souls.

Not all will be receptive and some will be completely against hearing God’s word. But be glad for those who receive and be in prayer for those who do not.

4/7/16

Acts 2:39King James Version (KJV)

39 For the promise is unto you, and to your children, and to all that are afar off, even as many as the Lord our God shall call.

God’s promise is for all “The Good, The Bad and The Ugly”. But without us sharing God’s word they may never have the chance to receive and repent.

4/6/16

Acts 1:8

8 But ye shall receive power, after that the Holy Ghost is come upon you: and ye shall be witnesses unto me both in Jerusalem, and in all Judaea, and in Samaria, and unto the uttermost part of the earth.

We should share the word with those near or far, in places we feel at ease and places you may not feel comfortable. But we must give all the opportunity to hear God’s word.

4/5/16

Mark 16:15-16

15 And he said unto them, Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature.
16 He that believeth and is baptized shall be saved; but he that believeth not shall be damned.

Share the word with all who are receptive, that is our duty. If you share the word and someone receives that is great. But if they refuse to believe that is not your fault and there fate is on them.

4/4/16

Matthew 28:19

19 Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost:

It is our duty to share God’s word.

4/3/16

1 Corinthians 12:28

28 And God hath set some in the church, first apostles, secondarily prophets, thirdly teachers, after that miracles, then gifts of healings, helps, governments, diversities of tongues.

If you are attending a church without these things you might want to ask God to lead you somewhere else. On second thought you definitely need God to lead you somewhere else.

4/2/16

Matthew 18:20

20 For where two or three are gathered together in my name, there am I in the midst of them.

So church does not have to be some mega-building with thousands of people, it can be that little community church right down the road. Big or small the only thing that matters is that God is in the house.

4/1/16

1 John 1:3

3 That which we have seen and heard declare we unto you, that ye also may have fellowship with us: and truly our fellowship is with the Father, and with his Son Jesus Christ.

Why do you go to church? To be seen by others or to be part of some social group. The reason we should go to church is to have fellowship with God the Father and God the Son. And maybe you might get a little bit of the Holy Ghost!

3/31/16

1 Timothy 5:17

17 Let the elders that rule well be counted worthy of double honour, especially they who labour in the word and doctrine.

So another part of our discussion had to do with how some preachers or evangelist profit exceedingly from the people in the church. In the above verse it says those who preach and teach well should be rewarded but we do see all to often these people who seem to only be doing this for profit. If that is what they are doing God will deal with them in time, but if you give to them or there ministry in good faith and they abuse what you have given it is not on you unless you continue giving knowing they are misleading others.

3/30/16

Acts 2:42

42 And they continued stedfastly in the apostles’ doctrine and fellowship, and in breaking of bread, and in prayers.

It is important to learn God’s word from someone who has been living by God’s word than by simply studying the Bible. But you should look up everything you are taught for yourself that way you are not being misled. “Beware of false prophets”.

3/29/16

Hebrews 10:25

25 Not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together, as the manner of some is; but exhorting one another: and so much the more, as ye see the day approaching.

The person with the strongest opinion that church was not necessary believes that the only part of the Bible we have to follow is what is written in red or what is considered Jesus’s own words. But all of the Bible is God’s word and God is all three God the Father, God the Son and God the Holy Ghost. So if you believe some of it you need to believe all of it.

Do you have to attend church to be saved or to go to Heaven? In my opinion, no you don’t but if you are truly saved or you are trying to learn about living for God then gathering together with like minded people is the best way I know to make that way of life much easier.

3/28/16

Isaiah 31:1

31 Woe to them that go down to Egypt for help; and stay on horses, and trust in chariots, because they are many; and in horsemen, because they are very strong; but they look not unto the Holy One of Israel, neither seek the Lord!

Where does your Faith lie? Is it in things or people of the world or is it in God?

After being in church yesterday with my family I realized just how much I miss that time with my family. I am to far away to be with my family on Sunday’s so I am going to rely on my Faith in God that he will open doors for a project closer to home.

3/27/16

Romans 1:4-5

4 And declared to be the Son of God with power, according to the spirit of holiness, by the resurrection from the dead:
5 By whom we have received grace and apostleship, for obedience to the faith among all nations, for his name:

Jesus is the only one who by his name and his blood that we may be part of God’s family. And as we celebrate this day in Honor of him what better way than to accept him or rededicate your life to him today.
“God Bless” and have a great Easter.

3/26/16

John 11:25-26

25 Jesus said unto her, I am the resurrection, and the life: he that believeth in me, though he were dead, yet shall he live:
26 And whosoever liveth and believeth in me shall never die. Believest thou this?

There is no time like the present to accept the Lord, because we never know when we will take our last breath. But if you have not yet accepted the Lord as your savior then this is a great weekend to accept the Lord.
Accept and believe and live forever.

3/25/16

1 Timothy 5:8

8 But if any provide not for his own, and specially for those of his own house, he hath denied the faith, and is worse than an infidel.

So I know this is going to be a controversial comment but life is full of controversy. Some people feel like when you help your children by providing car’s, phone’s, clothes and other items you are spoiling them. And sometimes that may be true, but we are supposed to provide for our own.

But that does not mean we should have to provide for everyone else. Charity is one thing but being forced to provide for the less fortunate is not what charity is all about.

3/24/16

1 Timothy 3:2-5

2 A bishop then must be blameless, the husband of one wife, vigilant, sober, of good behaviour, given to hospitality, apt to teach;
3 Not given to wine, no striker, not greedy of filthy lucre; but patient, not a brawler, not covetous;
4 One that ruleth well his own house, having his children in subjection with all gravity;
5 (For if a man know not how to rule his own house, how shall he take care of the church of God?)

If you do not know how to follow God, how are you going to teach your family.

3/23/16

Colossians 3:18-20

18 Wives, submit yourselves unto your own husbands, as it is fit in the Lord.
19 Husbands, love your wives, and be not bitter against them.
20 Children, obey your parents in all things: for this is well pleasing unto the Lord.

I know you ladies think this is outdated but God’s word is still God’s word even today.
Ok husbands so you want your wife to submit herself to you, but are you being a loving caring husband always?
Yet again God directs us to obey our parents. But as parents we have to be leading and directing as is pleasing to God.

3/22/16

Ephesians 6:4

4 And, ye fathers, provoke not your children to wrath: but bring them up in the nurture and admonition of the Lord.

You should discipline your children when needed but when that turns to abuse you have gone to far. But a good paddling when needed is not abuse, no matter what some people believe.

3/21/16

Ephesians 6:1-2

1 Children, obey your parents in the Lord: for this is right.
2 Honour thy father and mother; which is the first commandment with promise;

So most of us think of our children when you read this scripture, but remember we are still our parents children even when we are grown.

3/20/16

Ephesians 3:14-15

14 For this cause I bow my knees unto the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ,
15 Of whom the whole family in heaven and earth is named,

My family name is Clements and no matter what your family name is, none of them compare to being a member of God’s family.

3/19/16

Ephesians 1:3-6

3 Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who hath blessed us with all spiritual blessings in heavenly places in Christ:
4 According as he hath chosen us in him before the foundation of the world, that we should be holy and without blame before him in love:
5 Having predestinated us unto the adoption of children by Jesus Christ to himself, according to the good pleasure of his will,
6 To the praise of the glory of his grace, wherein he hath made us accepted in the beloved.

Great News! You were predestined to be a child of God. Bad News! It does not matter if you never accept Jesus Christ as your saviour. Don’t wait because you may be to late!

3/18/16

Galatians 4:4-7

4 But when the fulness of the time was come, God sent forth his Son, made of a woman, made under the law,
5 To redeem them that were under the law, that we might receive the adoption of sons.
6 And because ye are sons, God hath sent forth the Spirit of his Son into your hearts, crying, Abba, Father.
7 Wherefore thou art no more a servant, but a son; and if a son, then an heir of God through Christ.

Although we are to serve the Lord we are not merely servants, but also heirs to the throne of God.

3/17/16

Romans 9:4
4 Who are Israelites; to whom pertaineth the adoption, and the glory, and the covenants, and the giving of the law, and the service of God, and the promises;

Are you a child of God, have you accepted his adoption? With adoption comes the promises of God.

3/16/16

Romans 8:22-23

22 For we know that the whole creation groaneth and travaileth in pain together until now.
23 And not only they, but ourselves also, which have the firstfruits of the Spirit, even we ourselves groan within ourselves, waiting for the adoption, to wit, the redemption of our body.

Although it seems that some people we know never go through trials and tribulations, if you do count it as a blessing and use them to make yourself stronger for the Lord. If you read the end of the Bible you will see in the end we will be victorious.

3/15/16

Romans 8:16-17

16 The Spirit itself beareth witness with our spirit, that we are the children of God:
17 And if children, then heirs; heirs of God, and joint-heirs with Christ; if so be that we suffer with him, that we may be also glorified together.

So if you are a child of God, then you have a place in his kingdom. If not make your reservation now before it is too late. Also bring up your children to be joint heirs with Christ because that is much better than any earthly inheritance you could possibly leave them.

3/14/16

Acts 10:2

2 A devout man, and one that feared God with all his house, which gave much alms to the people, and prayed to God alway.

Lead by example! Real men serve the Lord!

3/13/16

Proverbs 31:28-29

28 Her children arise up, and call her blessed; her husband also, and he praiseth her.
29 Many daughters have done virtuously, but thou excellest them all.

A godly father should lead his family to worship the Lord, but more often it is the godly woman that keeps the family grounded in the service of the Lord.

3/12/16

Proverbs 22:6

6 Train up a child in the way he should go: and when he is old, he will not depart from it.

We have heard this many times and sometimes it seems like it will never happen but it is certainly worth the effort. Because without being brought up knowing the Lord look how much more the world could influence your child and the way they choose to live.

3/11/16

Proverbs 15:20

20 A wise son maketh a glad father: but a foolish man despiseth his mother.

When things are good we are gracious to our father, but when things are bad we have a tendency to blame everyone but ourselves.

3/10/16

Proverbs 12:7

7 The wicked are overthrown, and are not: but the house of the righteous shall stand.

Good times, bad times, happy times, sad times, poor times or abundant times. A righteous house may see them all but no matter what when you stand with God he is always there.

3/9/16

Proverbs 1:8

8 My son, hear the instruction of thy father, and forsake not the law of thy mother:

Our children should listen to the wisdom of there father’s and the direction of their mother’s.

3/8/16

2 Chronicles 20:13

13 And all Judah stood before the Lord, with their little ones, their wives, and their children.

Bring your family to the Lord to worship. A family that prays together stays together.

3/7/16

Psalm 128:3

3 Thy wife shall be as a fruitful vine by the sides of thine house: thy children like olive plants round about thy table.

But what if one or both of you are not fruitful? There are many lonely and neglected children to either adopt or just being a good christian role model for those children can make an amazing difference in your life as well as theirs.

3/6/16

Psalm 127:3-5

3 Lo, children are an heritage of the Lord: and the fruit of the womb is his reward.
4 As arrows are in the hand of a mighty man; so are children of the youth.
5 Happy is the man that hath his quiver full of them: they shall not be ashamed, but they shall speak with the enemies in the gate.

If you have one blessing or many you should be proud of them all. Remember when they struggle it is not only their opportunity to grow in the ways of the Lord but also your opportunity to help them with there struggles. Even if they do not want or ask for help you can always pray for them.

3/5/16

Psalm 103:17

17 But the mercy of the Lord is from everlasting to everlasting upon them that fear him, and his righteousness unto children’s children;

When you raise your children to know the Lord and to follow the Lord, they will most likely do the same with their children.

3/4/16

Joshua 24:15

15 And if it seem evil unto you to serve the Lord, choose you this day whom ye will serve; whether the gods which your fathers served that were on the other side of the flood, or the gods of the Amorites, in whose land ye dwell: but as for me and my house, we will serve the Lord.

Have you taught your children to serve the Lord? Or have they seen you put other Gods foremost in your life? Children learn from their surroundings. And even when it seems like they have turned from the ways of the Lord, if you taught them well remember they will return unto the ways of the Lord. Lead by example!

3/3/16

Exodus 20:12

12 Honour thy father and thy mother: that thy days may be long upon the land which the Lord thy God giveth thee.

So it is our job as parents to raise our children in the ways of the Lord. But then it is our children’s responsibility to follow the way of the Lord and not only Honor God but also to honor their parents. But then those parents should also be sure that they are worthy of honor.

3/2/16

Genesis 33:5

5 And he lifted up his eyes, and saw the women and the children; and said, Who are those with thee? And he said, The children which God hath graciously given thy servant.

How do you see your children, are they a blessing or a burden? All children are a blessing it depends on you as to weather or not they become a burden or continue to be a blessing. There is a song that reminds me of this when I get the opportunity to help my children. I don’t “have” to help my children “I get too”.

3/1/16

Genesis 2:24

24 Therefore shall a man leave his father and his mother, and shall cleave unto his wife: and they shall be one flesh.

Some parents can not wait for their children to grow up and leave home because they feel they will no longer have to support or help their children. Then their are parents like Alice and myself that wish our children would not have grown up so fast. Either way that is what kids do is grow up and move on with their lives, if you did a good job raising them and instilling family values then even if they are hundreds of miles away they still know you will always be there for them.

2/29/16

2 Corinthians 1:11

11 Ye also helping together by prayer for us, that for the gift bestowed upon us by the means of many persons thanks may be given by many on our behalf.

Just two words about this. Prayer groups!

2/28/16

Romans 15:30

30 Now I beseech you, brethren, for the Lord Jesus Christ’s sake, and for the love of the Spirit, that ye strive together with me in your prayers to God for me;

Even if you are not in someones presence you can still go to God with the same prayer.

2/27/16

Romans 10:13

13 For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.

If you have money you can be saved, if you are famous you can be saved, or if you are good looking you can be saved.
None of these things are required to be saved. And for some of us that is a great thing because we are lacking in all of those categories.

2/26/16

Romans 10:1

10 Brethren, my heart’s desire and prayer to God for Israel is, that they might be saved.

We are all created as God’s people but it is up to us to accept that role, pray for the lost daily.

2/25/16

Psalm 122:6

6 Pray for the peace of Jerusalem: they shall prosper that love thee.

Praying for God’s people brings good things to those who love the Lord and his people.

2/24/16

Psalm 118:25

25 Save now, I beseech thee, O Lord: O Lord, I beseech thee, send now prosperity.

Be clear when you speak to God that you know who you are speaking to.

2/23/16

Psalm 50:14-15

14 Offer unto God thanksgiving; and pay thy vows unto the most High:
15 And call upon me in the day of trouble: I will deliver thee, and thou shalt glorify me.

Praise God and thank God and in your time of need he will be their for you. And when he answers your prayers it blesses him.

2/22/16

James 1:6

6 But let him ask in faith, nothing wavering. For he that wavereth is like a wave of the sea driven with the wind and tossed.

If you do not believe that God can and will answer your prayers then why should he believe you need those prayers answered.

2/21/16

1 Corinthians 14:15

15 What is it then? I will pray with the spirit, and I will pray with the understanding also: I will sing with the spirit, and I will sing with the understanding also.

Pray and praise in the right mindset and understand that your prayers and praises will not come back void but they may not be answered in your time frame.

2/20/16

Matthew 6:9-13

9 After this manner therefore pray ye: Our Father which art in heaven, Hallowed be thy name.
10 Thy kingdom come, Thy will be done in earth, as it is in heaven.
11 Give us this day our daily bread.
12 And forgive us our debts, as we forgive our debtors.
13 And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil: For thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory, for ever. Amen.

This is an example of how we should pray. Not that we should pray this exact prayer. But it breaks down some of the basic things we should pray for daily.

2/19/16

Psalm 95:2

2 Let us come before his presence with thanksgiving, and make a joyful noise unto him with psalms.

Even if you can not carry a tune in a bucket, when you sing praises to the Lord is like the voices of angels to the Lord.

2/18/16

Psalm 66:17

17 I cried unto him with my mouth, and he was extolled with my tongue.

Prayers should also be to praise the Lord not just to ask for his help or forgiveness.

2/17/16

1 Thessalonians 5:17

17 Pray without ceasing.

There is a time for private prayer, a time for public prayer and the rest of the time you can be in silent prayer.

2/16/16

Colossians 1:3

3 We give thanks to God and the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, praying always for you,

If you are not able to pray for someone and be sincere and joyful to pray for them, it would be better not to pray for them. Instead pray for God to soften your heart and make you happy to pray for even your enemies.

2/15/16

Philippians 1:3-4

3 I thank my God upon every remembrance of you,
4 Always in every prayer of mine for you all making request with joy,

Even when you pray for someone that does not give you joy in your life, you should be joyful in spirit when you pray for them.

2/14/16

Ephesians 6:18

18 Praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit, and watching thereunto with all perseverance and supplication for all saints;

Are your prayers always sincere or do you sometimes utter the words without earnest intent?

2/13/16

1 Corinthians 1:4

4 I thank my God always on your behalf, for the grace of God which is given you by Jesus Christ;

Do you thank God on the behalf of others? Do you pray for others or only yourself?

2/12/16

Romans 8:38-39

38 For I am persuaded, that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor powers, nor things present, nor things to come,
39 Nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature, shall be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.

In a couple of days it will be Valentines and you think you love your significant other and they love you more than the drops of water in the oceans, but your love for one another is nothing compared to the Love of our Lord God and Savior Jesus Christ have for us.

2/11/16

Psalm 86:15

15 But thou, O Lord, art a God full of compassion, and gracious, long suffering, and plenteous in mercy and truth.

This has to be true, because we constantly try God and yet he still blesses us.

2/10/16

Romans 5:8

8 But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.

Before you ever hear a single scripture or utter a single word of prayer, Gods Son has already payed for all of your sins.

2/9/16

Isaiah 41:10

10 Fear thou not; for I am with thee: be not dismayed; for I am thy God: I will strengthen thee; yea, I will help thee; yea, I will uphold thee with the right hand of my righteousness.

The one and only true God has already chosen you, but is your decision to choose him.

2/8/16

Romans 8:28

28 And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose.

So if things are not working out for you does that mean you are not a child of God? Not necessarily but look deep into your closet and see what is coming between you and God.

2/7/16

Proverbs 3:5-6

5 Trust in the Lord with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding.
6 In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths.

This is hard for most of us because we want to take care of things on our own. But if that is not working out for you or even if it is , let God take control and see how much better your life is.

2/6/16

Romans 8:31-32

31 What shall we then say to these things? If God be for us, who can be against us?
32 He that spared not his own Son, but delivered him up for us all, how shall he not with him also freely give us all things?

The Devil is against us, but we do not have to allow him to come between us and God. What is coming between you and God and his blessings for you?

2/5/16

2 Timothy 1:7

7 For God hath not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind.

Even still most of us fear something!

2/4/16

Psalm 112:6-8

6 Surely he shall not be moved for ever: the righteous shall be in everlasting remembrance.
7 He shall not be afraid of evil tidings: his heart is fixed, trusting in the Lord.
8 His heart is established, he shall not be afraid, until he see his desire upon his enemies.

2/3/16

Deuteronomy 31:6

6 Be strong and of a good courage, fear not, nor be afraid of them: for the Lord thy God, he it is that doth go with thee; he will not fail thee, nor forsake thee.

2/2/16

Isaiah 40:31

31 But they that wait upon the Lord shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint.

2/1/16

Psalm 34:17-19

17 The righteous cry, and the Lord heareth, and delivereth them out of all their troubles.
18 The Lord is nigh unto them that are of a broken heart; and saveth such as be of a contrite spirit.
19 Many are the afflictions of the righteous: but the Lord delivereth him out of them all.

1/31/16

John 14:27

27 Peace I leave with you, my peace I give unto you: not as the world giveth, give I unto you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid.

1/30/16

1 Peter 5:6-7

6 Humble yourselves therefore under the mighty hand of God, that he may exalt you in due time:
7 Casting all your care upon him; for he careth for you.

1/29/16

Philippians 4:6-7

6 Be careful for nothing; but in every thing by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God.
7 And the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.

12/23/15

13 And whatsoever ye shall ask in my name, that will I do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son.
John 14:13

Although a lot of traditional church values have given way to modern ways we must still be respectful in our prayers. For know one comes to the Father except through the Son. The same holds true when it comes to prayer.

12/22/15

7 But the end of all things is at hand: be ye therefore sober, and watch unto prayer.
1 Peter 4:7

Read Gods word, be in constant prayer and be prepared for the end times, don’t be like the virgins with no oil for their lamps.

12/21/15

16 Ye have not chosen me, but I have chosen you, and ordained you, that ye should go and bring forth fruit, and that your fruit should remain: that whatsoever ye shall ask of the Father in my name, he may give it you.
John 15:16

Before you accepted the Lord as your saviour he accepted you, and before you knew you had a need to bring to him in prayer he had already made a way for that prayer to be answered.

12/20/15

14 These all continued with one accord in prayer and supplication, with the women, and Mary the mother of Jesus, and with his brethren.
Acts 1:14

Join together with a common goal and pray earnestly and trust in the Lord for an answered prayer.

12/19/15

25 And at midnight Paul and Silas prayed, and sang praises unto God: and the prisoners heard them.
Acts 16:25

Sometimes we have to come out of our prayer closet and be heard! If you think that gun control or Donald Trump are the answers to the problems facing the U.S. and other countries you are so wrong. What the world needs is serious prayer by true Christians.

12/18/15

27 But I say unto you which hear, Love your enemies, do good to them which hate you,
28 Bless them that curse you, and pray for them which despitefully use you.
Luke 6:27-28

If this is not difficult for you, you are an awesome person. But even if it is difficult for you it is our duty as Christians.

12/17/15

15 And if we know that he hear us, whatsoever we ask, we know that we have the petitions that we desired of him.
1 John 5:15

Without faith your prayers are useless. And continuous faith brings petitions to fruition.

12/16/15

16 Confess your faults one to another, and pray one for another, that ye may be healed. The effectual fervent prayer of a righteous man availeth much.
James 5:16

Previously I said that sometimes prayers should just be between you and God. But there are times when having someone pray with you is good also, but only if you can both trust each other not to share private things with others. A righteous man or woman will not be going on Facebook or Twitter and telling everybody what they were just in prayer with someone about.

12/15/15

6 But let him ask in faith, nothing wavering. For he that wavereth is like a wave of the sea driven with the wind and tossed.
James 1:6

When you ask the Lord for something in prayer first of all you have to have faith that he will answer your prayer. If you are doubtful when you ask the Lord for his help it is like you are unsure as to weather you really want his help.

12/14/15

6 But thou, when thou prayest, enter into thy closet, and when thou hast shut thy door, pray to thy Father which is in secret; and thy Father which seeth in secret shall reward thee openly.
Matthew 6:6

There is a time for public prayer and there is a time for private prayer. If you have something that should not be announced in public that is probably a good thing to take to the Lord in private. This is not like Facebook were you air every ones dirty laundry. So let that apply to your social media life as well as your prayer life. Keep private matters private.

12/13/15

6 In my distress I called upon the Lord, and cried unto my God: he heard my voice out of his temple, and my cry came before him, even into his ears.
Psalm 18:6

It is truly an amazing thing that in our time of prayer no matter who else is praying God hears each and every one of our prayers.

12/12/15

16 Let us therefore come boldly unto the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy, and find grace to help in time of need.
Hebrews 4:16

When you are in need of God’s help besides your day to day need of God’s help and direction, be direct and be bold in your request. Believe in your request. He is always there but when we have special needs or requests we need his mercy and grace.

12/11/15

3 Call unto me, and I will answer thee, and show thee great and mighty things, which thou knowest not.
Jeremiah 33:3

If things are not going your way, maybe it is because your way is not God’s way. But if you call on him, trust in him and believe in him he will show you great things.

12/10/15

20 For where two or three are gathered together in my name, there am I in the midst of them.
Matthew 18:20

You may not have to go to church to worship God. But praying with like minded people that are in the will of God gets results.

12/9/15

18 The Lord is nigh unto all them that call upon him, to all that call upon him in truth.
Psalm 145:18

You might be able to lie to your family or your friends but you can’t lie to the Lord. He knows your heart and your mind so when you go to him in prayer be truthful to him and yourself.

12/8/15

7 But when ye pray, use not vain repetitions, as the heathen do: for they think that they shall be heard for their much speaking.
Matthew 6:7

Do you get tired when the preacher rambles on and never gets to the point. Like he just preaches because he likes to hear himself speak. Well if you don’t like that, then you can imagine that as busy as the Lord is he does not have time for you to ramble on in your prayers. Now I am not saying that your prayers can’t be long or that people that speak very eloquently do so just to hear themselves or to be heard. I am just saying get to the point and be specific. Like my late Grandpa (Preacher Coursey) told me about preaching. He would say a preacher should “Stand Up”, “Speak Up”, “Shut Up” and “Sit Down”. In other words make your point and move on.

12/7/15

12 Rejoicing in hope; patient in tribulation; continuing instant in prayer;
Romans 12:12

Most of us have no problem rejoicing in the good times. Few of us are patient in tribulation. And still fewer of us are always in prayer.

12/6/15

12 Then shall ye call upon me, and ye shall go and pray unto me, and I will hearken unto you.
Jeremiah 29:12

Unfortunately this is true with most of us, we wait until we are in trouble or in need before we pray to the Lord. Thankfully he is an awesome God and still listens for our prayers and answers them.

12/5/15

24 Therefore I say unto you, What things soever ye desire, when ye pray, believe that ye receive them, and ye shall have them.
Mark 11:24

This is where some of these prosperity gospel preachers get the idea that whatever you want you can have just for the asking. So is this a contradiction with 1 John 5:14? I don’t think so. I think if you have a desire and that desire fits God’s will that prayer could be answered. But all to often we desire things that God knows we can not handle and remain in his will or we are not in his will to begin with so those things never come to pass. Or maybe we receive our desire only to lose it because we could not remain in God’s will. And then again maybe I am wrong and those preachers are right and all of you can be millionaires tomorrow.

12/4/15

2 Continue in prayer, and watch in the same with thanksgiving;
Colossians 4:2

God does not need to be reminded of your needs or desires by repeated prayer for the same thing. But when you continue to pray for something and believe in your heart that God will answer your prayer, it shows him you are committed to that prayer. But remember be specific in your prayers because the answer you get may not be what you expect. I know this from experience.

12/3/15

14 And this is the confidence that we have in him, that, if we ask any thing according to his will, he heareth us:
1 John 5:14

So let me get this straight no matter what I ask God to do he will do it. NO! That is not what this verse says. It says if we ask something that is in God’s will he will hear us. But does that mean he never hears those things that we ask for that are just our desires. NO! It means he hears our desires when they fit in with his will.

12/2/15

6 Be careful for nothing; but in every thing by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God. 7 And the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.
Philippians 4:6-7

If you want something to happen in your life. Pray about it!
If you don’t want something to happen in your life. Pray about it.
If you are not sure what you want to happen in your life. Pray about it.

12/1/15
Alice and I went to see the “War Room” over the holidays and it is great. If you have not seen it yet go see it, it is worth your time.
The movie got me to thinking about my prayer life and so for a bit that will be what the scriptures we share will be about.

16 Rejoice evermore. 17 Pray without ceasing. 18 In every thing give thanks: for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus concerning you.
1 Thessalonians 5:16-18

You can pray any time any were. When someone makes a ugly remark to you instead of commenting back just pray. I know we sometimes can not see the good in a bad situation but God has a plan, give thanks and pray.

12/1/15
Well we are finally off of those 12 plus hour days and I can get back to posting verses and such for the “Verse of the Day”. The long hours are not a good excuse for not doing God’s work but I want to say thank you to those who continued to like and share the “Verse of the Day”. In my time of not doing God’s work many of you continued to share past verses and in so doing you were doing God’s work. Thanks and Great job.

Beware of “Prosperity Gospel”! Now I myself have preached and fully believe that the Lord can and will provide your every need and sometimes your desires. But we have to be careful that our desires will not lead us to temptation and out of the will of God. There are some that preach and teach that each and every person that seeks to be wealthy can be and all you have to do is ask God. But the truth is that not each and every person can or will be wealthy. Not because God can not provide you with anything you desire but because he knows that not every person would be a good steward of what they receive. And then there are those who would be led astray by wealth and prosperity. Now for those who know me you are well aware that I have tried nearly everything in life to become financially wealthy. And those who know me also know that I have not been successful yet. Maybe it is because God has not seen that I have the ability to be a good steward or maybe it is because I have not tried the right thing or fully relied on God’s guidance. Or maybe I am just one of those people that will never be wealthy. But none the less I keep trying. Not to be filthy rich but to provide for my family and help my friends.
So all this being said, for the next few weeks the verses I share will be mainly about money, budgets, business ownership, contentment, debt, getting rich quick, giving to others, investing, lending, the love of money, planning, provision, prospering, receiving not just reading scriptures, retaining scriptures, stewardship, success, surety, taxes, tithing, waste, work and worry.
So for those who like structure this should be right up your alley. And for those who have already reached your financial goals or those who are content with what you have this may help you understand more about why you are in the position you are in. And why you should help others. And for those like me who are still on this road hopefully we will figure out what we really need to be striving for.

9/24/15

Asking for forgiveness of our sins is the easy part. It is the separation of ourselves from what causes us to sin that is difficult. But that separation most often is key to remaining in God’s will.

12 As far as the east is from the west, so far hath he removed our transgressions from us.
Psalm 103:12

9/23/15

Are you trapped in the darkness? Not if you look to the Son for his blood gives us redemption and forgiveness. And he is the light that NO darkness can overcome.

13 Who hath delivered us from the power of darkness, and hath translated us into the kingdom of his dear Son:
14 In whom we have redemption through his blood, even the forgiveness of sins:
Colossians 1:13-14

9/22/15

Don’t continually try the Lord, even though he forgives us of our rebellion.

9 To the Lord our God belong mercies and forgivenesses, though we have rebelled against him;

One way! Through the “Blood of Jesus”!

2 Corinthians 5:17

9/18/15

The Lord says come to me and lets discuss your burdens and sins. So I can relieve you of them and make your life pure again. But it will be up to you to keep it pure. Yet you can always call on me in your times of troubles, but don’t wait till you are in trouble.

18 Come now, and let us reason together, saith the Lord: though your sins be as scarlet, they shall be as white as snow; though they be red like crimson, they shall be as wool.
Isaiah 1:18

9/17/15

To avoid the recurrence of the same sins in your life. Walk with Jesus not with the world.

8 There is therefore now no condemnation to them which are in Christ Jesus, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit.
Romans 8:1

9/16/15

The forgiveness of your sins also means the Lord will not recall those sins.

25 I, even I, am he that blotteth out thy transgressions for mine own sake, and will not remember thy sins.
26 Put me in remembrance: let us plead together: declare thou, that thou mayest be justified.
Isaiah 43:25-26

9/15/15

Ask the Lord for forgiveness of your sins. And also forgive yourself. But do not fall back into those sins.

19 Repent ye therefore, and be converted, that your sins may be blotted out, when the times of refreshing shall come from the presence of the Lord.
Acts 3:19

9/14/15

The first step to forgiveness is confessing or admitting to your sin and feeling the conviction of those sins.

1 John 1:9

9/13/15

Do your very best not to sin, but when you do sin Jesus is our advocate and through him our sins can be forgiven.

1 My little children, these things write I unto you, that ye sin not. And if any man sin, we have an advocate with the Father, Jesus Christ the righteous:
1 John 2:1

9/12/15

Hebrews 4:16

9/9/15

Just how forgiving are you?

14 For if ye forgive men their trespasses, your heavenly Father will also forgive you:

Psalm 56:3

9/7/15

The devil and his army are working overtime and using common people to invoke fear among us these days. With all the Law Enforcement Officers being murdered. And other groups of people being targeted by malicious groups of sinners. But there is still right and wrong and God is still in control.

10 Fear thou not; for I am with thee: be not dismayed; for I am thy God: I will strengthen thee; yea, I will help thee; yea, I will uphold thee with the right hand of my righteousness.
Isaiah 41:10

9/6/15

Ezekiel 11:5

He still knows what is on your heart and on your mind!

9/5/15

Are you living contrary to God’s word and yet you have a bountiful life!

17 But we will certainly do whatsoever thing goeth forth out of our own mouth, to burn incense unto the queen of heaven, and to pour out drink offerings unto her, as we have done, we, and our fathers, our kings, and our princes, in the cities of Judah, and in the streets of Jerusalem: for then had we plenty of victuals, and were well, and saw no evil.

Jeremiah 2:25

But don’t think you can continue to serve other God’s and really have forgiveness and salvation.

9/3/15

It’s plain and simple.

24 No man can serve two masters: for either he will hate the one, and love the other; or else he will hold to the one, and despise the other. Ye cannot serve God and mammon.
Matthew 6:24

If you are not serving God, you are serving satan!

Ezekiel 20:32

Just look at the world around you.

9/1/15

Do you claim to serve the Lord, but to others does it seem as though you serve the world.

2 Thus saith the Lord, Learn not the way of the heathen, and be not dismayed at the signs of heaven; for the heathen are dismayed at them. 3 For the customs of the people are vain: for one cutteth a tree out of the forest, the work of the hands of the workman, with the axe. 4 They deck it with silver and with gold; they fasten it with nails and with hammers, that it move not. 5 They are upright as the palm tree, but speak not: they must needs be borne, because they cannot go. Be not afraid of them; for they cannot do evil, neither also is it in them to do good.

You have to make a choice to serve God. Or don’t, but you can’t serve both.

2 Corinthians 12:9

So are you being blessed or are your blessings coming up short because you are not walking the walk?

8/17/15

So with this scripture I pose a question for those of you who read the “Verse of the Day”. Since our sins are covered by the blood of Jesus Christ once we confess them and ask for forgiveness. Do you feel like the Old Testament laws should still be used to shape our life and how we live?

2 For the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus hath made me free from the law of sin and death.
Romans 8:2

If you are going to claim to be honest and good then your actions should show this.

Be wary of those who talk a good game!

Maybe this Country can still be “One Nation Under God”.

14 If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land.

But it is going to take a lot of earnest prayer.

7/10/15
No matter what the controversy is about today, weather it be homosexuality, racism, religion, gun control, drugs or anything else we face in today’s time. It cannot compare to the glory we will have in Heaven.

18 For I reckon that the sufferings of this present time are not worthy to be compared with the glory which shall be revealed in us.
Romans 8:18

7/9/15

We generally try to bring you verses that will lift you spirits and help you get closer to God. But today we are trying to educate some people who want to twist God’s word and also help those of you who live for Christ to better understand the truth behind this controversial subject. Also I hear many people say including some preachers, that we do not live by the Old Testament (that is a whole other subject) so I am using New Testament scriptures for this.

20 But that we write unto them, that they abstain from pollutions of idols, and from fornication, and from things strangled, and from blood.
Acts 15:20

1 It is reported commonly that there is fornication among you, and such fornication as is not so much as named among the Gentiles, that one should have his father’s wife. 2 And ye are puffed up, and have not rather mourned, that he that hath done this deed might be taken away from among you. 3 For I verily, as absent in body, but present in spirit, have judged already, as though I were present, concerning him that hath so done this deed, 4 In the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, when ye are gathered together, and my spirit, with the power of our Lord Jesus Christ, 5 To deliver such an one unto Satan for the destruction of the flesh, that the spirit may be saved in the day of the Lord Jesus. 6 Your glorying is not good. Know ye not that a little leaven leaveneth the whole lump? 7 Purge out therefore the old leaven, that ye may be a new lump, as ye are unleavened. For even Christ our passover is sacrificed for us: 8 Therefore let us keep the feast, not with old leaven, neither with the leaven of malice and wickedness; but with the unleavened bread of sincerity and truth. 9 I wrote unto you in an epistle not to company with fornicators:
1 Corinthians 5:1-9

3 But fornication, and all uncleanness, or covetousness, let it not be once named among you, as becometh saints;
Ephesians 5:3

So what do all of these verses speak against? Fornication! And what is fornication?
Fornication-Sexual intercourse between people who are not married to each other, especially when considered as a sin.

So sex of any kind between people who are not married to each other is fornication, and fornication is clearly a sin.

So in God’s word who may a marriage be between. And by the way there is no variance to this.

4 And he answered and said unto them, Have ye not read, that he which made them at the beginning made them male and female, 5 And said, For this cause shall a man leave father and mother, and shall cleave to his wife: and they twain shall be one flesh? 6 Wherefore they are no more twain, but one flesh. What therefore God hath joined together, let not man put asunder.
Matthew 19:4-6

Marriage-a legally accepted relationship between a man and a woman in which they live as husband and wife, or the official ceremony which results in this:

So if this is not clear enough to those who call yourselves gay, lesbian or homosexual then most likely nothing will ever convince you to change your ways.

And for those who live a Christian life use this to educate those who are lost to this sin. Not to judge them because that is as great a sin as theirs.

Sorry for using the name John Doe but anyway the Bible does not specifically tell John Doe he is bound for Heaven or that he is doomed to Hell. The Bible gives you the information you need to accept Christ or deny him.
You are free to choose who you are and what you are. But your choice determines where you will spend eternity.

7/8/15

9 Live joyfully with the wife whom thou lovest all the days of the life of thy vanity, which he hath given thee under the sun, all the days of thy vanity: for that is thy portion in this life, and in thy labour which thou takest under the sun.
Ecclesiastes 9:9

This verse is written to man. Not a woman. And know matter how someone may twist it this was God’s plan one man for one woman.

25 Husbands, love your wives, even as Christ also loved the church, and gave himself for it;
26 That he might sanctify and cleanse it with the washing of water by the word,
Ephesians 5:25-26

Take heed. These verses do not say husbands love your husbands or wives love your wives.

7/6/15

The end of this world is coming. There is nothing we can do to change that. What we can do is share God’s word and his love with as many people as we can so that they can have the opportunity to change and accept the Lord as their Savior.

6 By mercy and truth iniquity is purged: and by the fear of the Lord men depart from evil.
Proverbs 16:6

7/2/15

23 For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God; 24 Being justified freely by his grace through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus:
Romans 3:23-24

Just because you have sinned and just because some judge says it is okay, does not mean you have to continue to sin. God gives you the choice. Choose wisely.

7/1/15

Don’t think that those who refuse to obey God’s word will go unpunished.

7 Be not deceived; God is not mocked: for whatsoever a man soweth, that shall he also reap.
8 For he that soweth to his flesh shall of the flesh reap corruption; but he that soweth to the Spirit shall of the Spirit reap life everlasting.
Galatians 6:7-8

Just think how many times Pharaoh refused to obey God. And look what finally happened to him.

6/30/15

Are you looking for life more abundant?

21 He that followeth after righteousness and mercy findeth life, righteousness, and honour.
Proverbs 21:21

6/29/15

Read it, study it, live it.

14 If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land.
2 Chronicles 7:14

6/26/15

Ok so you have decided you are ready to completely surrender your life to Christ. But are you truly sincere in that decision.

14 Now therefore fear the Lord, and serve him in sincerity and in truth: and put away the gods which your fathers served on the other side of the flood, and in Egypt; and serve ye the Lord.
Joshua 24:14

So you are sincere in your decision to serve and completely surrender to God. But what will be the first thing that comes between you and God. Family, work, recreational activities.
I am not trying to discourage you from serving God. I just want you to be ready for the difficulties of making this type of commitment. Just always depend on God for the strength and guidance to get you through even the toughest of times.

6/25/15

Are you ready for a complete surrender to Jesus? Few people are. Even some of those who claim to be Christians struggle to completely turn their lives over to God.

21 Then Jesus beholding him loved him, and said unto him, One thing thou lackest: go thy way, sell whatsoever thou hast, and give to the poor, and thou shalt have treasure in heaven: and come, take up the cross, and follow me.
22 And he was sad at that saying, and went away grieved: for he had great possessions.
Mark 10:21-22

What in your life is keeping you from completely surrendering to Jesus?

6/24/15

16 All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness: 17 That the man of God may be perfect, thoroughly furnished unto all good works.
2 Timothy 3:16-17

6/23/15

1 Have mercy upon me, O God, according to thy lovingkindness: according unto the multitude of thy tender mercies blot out my transgressions. 2 Wash me throughly from mine iniquity, and cleanse me from my sin.
Psalm 51:1-2

6/22/15

3 For I say, through the grace given unto me, to every man that is among you, not to think of himself more highly than he ought to think; but to think soberly, according as God hath dealt to every man the measure of faith.
Romans 12:3

6/19/15

Your burdens are not yours alone. God is there to take those burdens and problems away.

22 Cast thy burden upon the Lord, and he shall sustain thee: he shall never suffer the righteous to be moved.
23 But thou, O God, shalt bring them down into the pit of destruction: bloody and deceitful men shall not live out half their days; but I will trust in thee.
Psalm 55:22-23

Just don’t go right back and pick them up once you have turned them over to the Lord.

6/18/15

Have you been seeking a change in your life? Are you looking for a job or better job. More financial stability. A change in your relationship with God or with others.

7 Ask, and it shall be given you; seek, and ye shall find; knock, and it shall be opened unto you:
8 For every one that asketh receiveth; and he that seeketh findeth; and to him that knocketh it shall be opened.
Matthew 7:7-8

So looks like your answers are simple according to these scriptures. But what you must know is that you must believe what you are asking for can and will happen. Just asking without faith that it will happen will only lead to disappointment. And if you have recently received an answer to what you have been seeking or if you are still waiting either way don’t forget to thank God for your blessing.

5/15/15
Biblical definition of a “Liar”. Tellers of untruths.
The father of all liars is the Devil. Who’s your daddy?

Ye are of your father the devil, and the lusts of your father ye will do. He was a murderer from the beginning, and abode not in the truth, because there is no truth in him. When he speaketh a lie, he speaketh of his own: for he is a liar, and the father of it.
John 8:44

If you lie for your own gain or for the gain of your employer, family member, friend or any other reason it is still a lie. And not even the Carrier man will be able to cool off your master’s house.

5/14/15
The Devil is chief of all liars. Don’t be in the same company as the devil it won’t be pleasant. This is the fate of liars.

But the fearful, and unbelieving, and the abominable, and murderers, and whoremongers, and sorcerers, and idolaters, and all liars, shall have their part in the lake which burneth with fire and brimstone: which is the second death.
Revelation 21:8

15 For without are dogs, and sorcerers, and whoremongers, and murderers, and idolaters, and whosoever loveth and maketh a lie.
Revelation 22:15

That lake of fire will be alot worse than “Liar, liar pants on fire.”

5/13/15
Hatred is more than skin deep it comes from within!

26 Whose hatred is covered by deceit, his wickedness shall be shewed before the whole congregation.
Proverbs 26:26

Your true colors will come out for all to see.

5/12/15
Sometimes people are deceitful by accident or because they have been deceived themselves. But all to often deceit comes from the heart.

The heart is deceitful above all things, and desperately wicked: who can know it?
Jeremiah 17:9

20 And He said, “What comes out of a man, that defiles a man. 21 For from within, out of the heart of men, proceed evil thoughts, adulteries, fornications, murders, 22 thefts, covetousness, wickedness, deceit, lewdness, an evil eye, blasphemy, pride, foolishness. 23 All these evil things come from within and defile a man.”
Mark 7:20-23

You may deceive your friends, relatives, co-workers or even yourself but you can not deceive God.

5/11/15
Have you ever wanted to retaliate at what someone did or said to you? Well if we read God’s word we know that vengeance is his and regardless of what someone else does we should always live our lives the way God expects us to do. So let him be the one that sets those who wrong you straight.

To me belongeth vengeance, and recompence; their foot shall slide in due time: for the day of their calamity is at hand, and the things that shall come upon them make haste.
Deuteronomy 32:35

5/3/15
Duties or obligations of husbands and wives.

4 That they may teach the young women to be sober, to love their husbands, to love their children, 5 To be discreet, chaste, keepers at home, good, obedient to their own husbands, that the word of God be not blasphemed.
Titus 2:4-5

Things a wife should learn.

5/2/15
Duties or obligations of husbands and wives.

22 Wives, submit yourselves unto your own husbands, as unto the Lord. 23 For the husband is the head of the wife, even as Christ is the head of the church: and he is the saviour of the body. 24 Therefore as the church is subject unto Christ, so let the wives be to their own husbands in every thing. 25 Husbands, love your wives, even as Christ also loved the church, and gave himself for it;
Ephesians 5:22-25

18 Wives, submit yourselves unto your own husbands, as it is fit in the Lord. 19 Husbands, love your wives, and be not bitter against them.
Colossians 3:18-19

Wives should be subject to their husbands!

5/1/15
Duties or obligations of husbands and wives.

3 Let the husband render unto the wife due benevolence: and likewise also the wife unto the husband. 4 The wife hath not power of her own body, but the husband: and likewise also the husband hath not power of his own body, but the wife. 5 Defraud ye not one the other, except it be with consent for a time, that ye may give yourselves to fasting and prayer; and come together again, that Satan tempt you not for your incontinency. 6 But I speak this by permission, and not of commandment. 7 For I would that all men were even as I myself. But every man hath his proper gift of God, one after this manner, and another after that. 8 I say therefore to the unmarried and widows, it is good for them if they abide even as I. 9 But if they cannot contain, let them marry: for it is better to marry than to burn. 10 And unto the married I command, yet not I, but the Lord, Let not the wife depart from her husband: 11 But and if she depart, let her remain unmarried or be reconciled to her husband: and let not the husband put away his wife. 12 But to the rest speak I, not the Lord: If any brother hath a wife that believeth not, and she be pleased to dwell with him, let him not put her away. 13 And the woman which hath an husband that believeth not, and if he be pleased to dwell with her, let her not leave him.
1 Corinthians 7:3-13

39 The wife is bound by the law as long as her husband liveth; but if her husband be dead, she is at liberty to be married to whom she will; only in the Lord.
1 Corinthians 7:39

1 Likewise, ye wives, be in subjection to your own husbands; that, if any obey not the word, they also may without the word be won by the conversation of the wives; 2 While they behold your chaste conversation coupled with fear. 3 Whose adorning let it not be that outward adorning of plaiting the hair, and of wearing of gold, or of putting on of apparel; 4 But let it be the hidden man of the heart, in that which is not corruptible, even the ornament of a meek and quiet spirit, which is in the sight of God of great price. 5 For after this manner in the old time the holy women also, who trusted in God, adorned themselves, being in subjection unto their own husbands: 6 Even as Sara obeyed Abraham, calling him lord: whose daughters ye are, as long as ye do well, and are not afraid with any amazement. 7 Likewise, ye husbands, dwell with them according to knowledge, giving honour unto the wife, as unto the weaker vessel, and as being heirs together of the grace of life; that your prayers be not hindered.

Duties or obligations of citizens.

13 Let every soul be subject unto the higher powers. For there is no power but of God: the powers that be are ordained of God. 2 Whosoever therefore resisteth the power, resisteth the ordinance of God: and they that resist shall receive to themselves damnation. 3 For rulers are not a terror to good works, but to the evil. Wilt thou then not be afraid of the power? do that which is good, and thou shalt have praise of the same: 4 For he is the minister of God to thee for good. But if thou do that which is evil, be afraid; for he beareth not the sword in vain: for he is the minister of God, a revenger to execute wrath upon him that doeth evil. 5 Wherefore ye must needs be subject, not only for wrath, but also for conscience sake. 6 For for this cause pay ye tribute also: for they are God’s ministers, attending continually upon this very thing.
Romans 13:1-6

Be subject to rulers.

He saith unto him, Feed my lambs. 16 He saith to him again the second time, Simon, son of Jonas, lovest thou me? He saith unto him, Yea, Lord; thou knowest that I love thee. He saith unto him, Feed my sheep. 17 He saith unto him the third time, Simon, son of Jonas, lovest thou me? Peter was grieved because he said unto him the third time, Lovest thou me? 7 And as ye go, preach, saying, The kingdom of heaven is at hand. 8 Heal the sick, cleanse the lepers, raise the dead, cast out devils: freely ye have received, freely give. 9 Provide neither gold, nor silver, nor brass in your purses, 10 Nor scrip for your journey, neither two coats, neither shoes, nor yet staves: for the workman is worthy of his meat. 11 And into whatsoever city or town ye shall enter, enquire who in it is worthy; and there abide till ye go thence. 12 And when ye come into an house, salute it. 13 And if the house be worthy, let your peace come upon it: but if it be not worthy, let your peace return to you. 14 And whosoever shall not receive you, nor hear your words, when ye depart out of that house or city, shake off the dust of your feet. 15 Verily I say unto you, It shall be more tolerable for the land of Sodom and Gomorrha in the day of judgment, than for that city. 16 Behold, I send you forth as sheep in the midst of wolves: be ye therefore wise as serpents, and harmless as doves. 17 But beware of men: for they will deliver you up to the councils, and they will scourge you in their synagogues; 18 And ye shall be brought before governors and kings for my sake, for a testimony against them and the Gentiles. 19 But when they deliver you up, take no thought how or what ye shall speak: for it shall be given you in that same hour what ye shall speak. 20 For it is not ye that speak, but the Spirit of your Father which speaketh in you. 21 And the brother shall deliver up the brother to death, and the father the child: and the children shall rise up against their parents, and cause them to be put to death. 22 And ye shall be hated of all men for my name’s sake: but he that endureth to the end shall be saved. 23 But when they persecute you in this city, flee ye into another: for verily I say unto you, Ye shall not have gone over the cities of Israel, till the Son of man be come. 24 The disciple is not above his master, nor the servant above his lord. 25 It is enough for the disciple that he be as his master, and the servant as his lord. If they have called the master of the house Beelzebub, how much more shall they call them of his household? 26 Fear them not therefore: for there is nothing covered, that shall not be revealed; and hid, that shall not be known. 27 What I tell you in darkness, that speak ye in light: and what ye hear in the ear, that preach ye upon the housetops. 28 And fear not them which kill the body, but are not able to kill the soul: but rather fear him which is able to destroy both soul and body in hell.

1 Comfort ye, comfort ye my people, saith your God. 2 Speak ye comfortably to Jerusalem, and cry unto her, that her warfare is accomplished, that her iniquity is pardoned: for she hath received of the Lord’s hand double for all her sins. 3 The voice of him that crieth in the wilderness, Prepare ye the way of the Lord, make straight in the desert a highway for our God. 4 Every valley shall be exalted, and every mountain and hill shall be made low: and the crooked shall be made straight, and the rough places plain: 5 And the glory of the Lord shall be revealed, and all flesh shall see it together: for the mouth of the Lord hath spoken it. 6 The voice said, Cry. And he said, What shall I cry? All flesh is grass, and all the goodliness thereof is as the flower of the field: 7 The grass withereth, the flower fadeth: because the spirit of the Lord bloweth upon it: surely the people is grass. 8 The grass withereth, the flower fadeth: but the word of our God shall stand for ever. 9 O Zion, that bringest good tidings, get thee up into the high mountain; O Jerusalem, that bringest good tidings, lift up thy voice with strength; lift it up, be not afraid; say unto the cities of Judah, Behold your God! 10 Behold, the Lord God will come with strong hand, and his arm shall rule for him: behold, his reward is with him, and his work before him. 11 He shall feed his flock like a shepherd: he shall gather the lambs with his arm, and carry them in his bosom, and shall gently lead those that are with young.

25 If thy brother be waxen poor, and hath sold away some of his possession, and if any of his kin come to redeem it, then shall he redeem that which his brother sold. 26 And if the man have none to redeem it, and himself be able to redeem it; 27 Then let him count the years of the sale thereof, and restore the overplus unto the man to whom he sold it; that he may return unto his possession. 28 But if he be not able to restore it to him, then that which is sold shall remain in the hand of him that hath bought it until the year of jubile: and in the jubile it shall go out, and he shall return unto his possession.
Leviticus 25:25-28

12 And if the man be poor, thou shalt not sleep with his pledge: 13 In any case thou shalt deliver him the pledge again when the sun goeth down, that he may sleep in his own raiment, and bless thee: and it shall be righteousness unto thee before the Lord thy God. 14 Thou shalt not oppress an hired servant that is poor and needy, whether he be of thy brethren, or of thy strangers that are in thy land within thy gates: 15 At his day thou shalt give him his hire, neither shall the sun go down upon it; for he is poor, and setteth his heart upon it: lest he cry against thee unto the Lord, and it be sin unto thee. 16 The fathers shall not be put to death for the children, neither shall the children be put to death for the fathers: every man shall be put to death for his own sin. 17 Thou shalt not pervert the judgment of the stranger, nor of the fatherless; nor take a widow’s raiment to pledge: 18 But thou shalt remember that thou wast a bondman in Egypt, and the Lord thy God redeemed thee thence: therefore I command thee to do this thing. 19 When thou cuttest down thine harvest in thy field, and hast forgot a sheaf in the field, thou shalt not go again to fetch it: it shall be for the stranger, for the fatherless, and for the widow: that the Lord thy God may bless thee in all the work of thine hands. 20 When thou beatest thine olive tree, thou shalt not go over the boughs again: it shall be for the stranger, for the fatherless, and for the widow. 21 When thou gatherest the grapes of thy vineyard, thou shalt not glean it afterward: it shall be for the stranger, for the fatherless, and for the widow.

3 Ye shall fear every man his mother, and his father, and keep my sabbaths: I am the Lord your God.
Leviticus 19:3

18 And Jeremiah said unto the house of the Rechabites, Thus saith the Lord of hosts, the God of Israel; Because ye have obeyed the commandment of Jonadab your father, and kept all his precepts, and done according unto all that he hath commanded you:

19 Therefore thus saith the Lord of hosts, the God of Israel; Jonadab the son of Rechab shall not want a man to stand before me for ever.
Jeremiah 35:18-19

20 Children, obey your parents in all things: for this is well pleasing unto the Lord.

Duties or obligations of parents.

2 That the aged men be sober, grave, temperate, sound in faith, in charity, in patience. 3 The aged women likewise, that they be in behaviour as becometh holiness, not false accusers, not given to much wine, teachers of good things;
4 That they may teach the young women to be sober, to love their husbands, to love their children,

Gossip separates friends and families.

27 A worthless man plots evil, and his speech is like a scorching fire. 28 A dishonest man spreads strife, and a whisperer separates close friends. 29 A man of violence entices his neighbor and leads him in a way that is not good.
Proverbs 16:27-29

This also applies to women and children, not just men.

3/23/15
Gossip or idle talk is forbidden.

16 Thou shalt not go up and down as a talebearer among thy people: neither shalt thou stand against the blood of thy neighbour; I am the Lord.
Leviticus 19:16

God always knows the truth, no matter how you try to spin a tale. And the truth shall prevail!

The coming of Jesus!

1 Forasmuch as many have taken in hand to set forth in order a declaration of those things which are most surely believed among us, 2 Even as they delivered them unto us, which from the beginning were eyewitnesses, and ministers of the word; 3 It seemed good to me also, having had perfect understanding of all things from the very first, to write unto thee in order, most excellent Theophilus, 4 That thou mightest know the certainty of those things, wherein thou hast been instructed. 5 There was in the days of Herod, the king of Judaea, a certain priest named Zacharias, of the course of Abia: and his wife was of the daughters of Aaron, and her name was Elisabeth. 6 And they were both righteous before God, walking in all the commandments and ordinances of the Lord blameless. 7 And they had no child, because that Elisabeth was barren, and they both were now well stricken in years. 8 And it came to pass, that while he executed the priest’s office before God in the order of his course, 9 According to the custom of the priest’s office, his lot was to burn incense when he went into the temple of the Lord. 10 And the whole multitude of the people were praying without at the time of incense. 11 And there appeared unto him an angel of the Lord standing on the right side of the altar of incense. 12 And when Zacharias saw him, he was troubled, and fear fell upon him. 13 But the angel said unto him, Fear not, Zacharias: for thy prayer is heard; and thy wife Elisabeth shall bear thee a son, and thou shalt call his name John. 14 And thou shalt have joy and gladness; and many shall rejoice at his birth. 15 For he shall be great in the sight of the Lord, and shall drink neither wine nor strong drink; and he shall be filled with the Holy Ghost, even from his mother’s womb. 16 And many of the children of Israel shall he turn to the Lord their God. 17 And he shall go before him in the spirit and power of Elias, to turn the hearts of the fathers to the children, and the disobedient to the wisdom of the just; to make ready a people prepared for the Lord. 18 And Zacharias said unto the angel, Whereby shall I know this? for I am an old man, and my wife well stricken in years. 19 And the angel answering said unto him, I am Gabriel, that stand in the presence of God; and am sent to speak unto thee, and to shew thee these glad tidings. 20 And, behold, thou shalt be dumb, and not able to speak, until the day that these things shall be performed, because thou believest not my words, which shall be fulfilled in their season. 21 And the people waited for Zacharias, and marvelled that he tarried so long in the temple. 22 And when he came out, he could not speak unto them: and they perceived that he had seen a vision in the temple: for he beckoned unto them, and remained speechless. 23 And it came to pass, that, as soon as the days of his ministration were accomplished, he departed to his own house. 24 And after those days his wife Elisabeth conceived, and hid herself five months, saying, 25 Thus hath the Lord dealt with me in the days wherein he looked on me, to take away my reproach among men. 26 And in the sixth month the angel Gabriel was sent from God unto a city of Galilee, named Nazareth, 27 To a virgin espoused to a man whose name was Joseph, of the house of David; and the virgin’s name was Mary. 28 And the angel came in unto her, and said, Hail, thou that art highly favoured, the Lord is with thee: blessed art thou among women. 29 And when she saw him, she was troubled at his saying, and cast in her mind what manner of salutation this should be. 30 And the angel said unto her, Fear not, Mary: for thou hast found favour with God. 31 And, behold, thou shalt conceive in thy womb, and bring forth a son, and shalt call his name Jesus. 32 He shall be great, and shall be called the Son of the Highest: and the Lord God shall give unto him the throne of his father David: 33 And he shall reign over the house of Jacob for ever; and of his kingdom there shall be no end. 34 Then said Mary unto the angel, How shall this be, seeing I know not a man? 35 And the angel answered and said unto her, The Holy Ghost shall come upon thee, and the power of the Highest shall overshadow thee: therefore also that holy thing which shall be born of thee shall be called the Son of God. 36 And, behold, thy cousin Elisabeth, she hath also conceived a son in her old age: and this is the sixth month with her, who was called barren. 37 For with God nothing shall be impossible. 38 And Mary said, Behold the handmaid of the Lord; be it unto me according to thy word. And the angel departed from her. 39 And Mary arose in those days, and went into the hill country with haste, into a city of Juda; 40 And entered into the house of Zacharias, and saluted Elisabeth. 41 And it came to pass, that, when Elisabeth heard the salutation of Mary, the babe leaped in her womb; and Elisabeth was filled with the Holy Ghost: 42 And she spake out with a loud voice, and said, Blessed art thou among women, and blessed is the fruit of thy womb. 43 And whence is this to me, that the mother of my Lord should come to me? 44 For, lo, as soon as the voice of thy salutation sounded in mine ears, the babe leaped in my womb for joy. 45 And blessed is she that believed: for there shall be a performance of those things which were told her from the Lord. 46 And Mary said, My soul doth magnify the Lord, 47 And my spirit hath rejoiced in God my Saviour. 48 For he hath regarded the low estate of his handmaiden: for, behold, from henceforth all generations shall call me blessed. 49 For he that is mighty hath done to me great things; and holy is his name. 50 And his mercy is on them that fear him from generation to generation. 51 He hath shewed strength with his arm; he hath scattered the proud in the imagination of their hearts. 52 He hath put down the mighty from their seats, and exalted them of low degree. 53 He hath filled the hungry with good things; and the rich he hath sent empty away. 54 He hath helped his servant Israel, in remembrance of his mercy; 55 As he spake to our fathers, to Abraham, and to his seed for ever. 56 And Mary abode with her about three months, and returned to her own house. 57 Now Elisabeth’s full time came that she should be delivered; and she brought forth a son. 58 And her neighbours and her cousins heard how the Lord had shewed great mercy upon her; and they rejoiced with her. 59 And it came to pass, that on the eighth day they came to circumcise the child; and they called him Zacharias, after the name of his father. 60 And his mother answered and said, Not so; but he shall be called John. 61 And they said unto her, There is none of thy kindred that is called by this name. 62 And they made signs to his father, how he would have him called. 63 And he asked for a writing table, and wrote, saying, His name is John. And they marvelled all. 64 And his mouth was opened immediately, and his tongue loosed, and he spake, and praised God. 65 And fear came on all that dwelt round about them: and all these sayings were noised abroad throughout all the hill country of Judaea. 66 And all they that heard them laid them up in their hearts, saying, What manner of child shall this be! And the hand of the Lord was with him. 67 And his father Zacharias was filled with the Holy Ghost, and prophesied, saying, 68 Blessed be the Lord God of Israel; for he hath visited and redeemed his people, 69 And hath raised up an horn of salvation for us in the house of his servant David; 70 As he spake by the mouth of his holy prophets, which have been since the world began: 71 That we should be saved from our enemies, and from the hand of all that hate us; 72 To perform the mercy promised to our fathers, and to remember his holy covenant; 73 The oath which he sware to our father Abraham, 74 That he would grant unto us, that we being delivered out of the hand of our enemies might serve him without fear, 75 In holiness and righteousness before him, all the days of our life. 76 And thou, child, shalt be called the prophet of the Highest: for thou shalt go before the face of the Lord to prepare his ways; 77 To give knowledge of salvation unto his people by the remission of their sins, 78 Through the tender mercy of our God; whereby the dayspring from on high hath visited us, 79 To give light to them that sit in darkness and in the shadow of death, to guide our feet into the way of peace. 80 And the child grew, and waxed strong in spirit, and was in the deserts till the day of his shewing unto Israel.

Who is Jesus?

1 In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. 2 The same was in the beginning with God. 3 All things were made by him; and without him was not any thing made that was made. 4 In him was life; and the life was the light of men. 5 And the light shineth in darkness; and the darkness comprehended it not. 6 There was a man sent from God, whose name was John. 7 The same came for a witness, to bear witness of the Light, that all men through him might believe. 8 He was not that Light, but was sent to bear witness of that Light. 9 That was the true Light, which lighteth every man that cometh into the world. 10 He was in the world, and the world was made by him, and the world knew him not. 11 He came unto his own, and his own received him not. 12 But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name: 13 Which were born, not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of God. 14 And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, (and we beheld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father,) full of grace and truth. 15 John bare witness of him, and cried, saying, This was he of whom I spake, He that cometh after me is preferred before me: for he was before me. 16 And of his fulness have all we received, and grace for grace. 17 For the law was given by Moses, but grace and truth came by Jesus Christ. 18 No man hath seen God at any time, the only begotten Son, which is in the bosom of the Father, he hath declared him.
John 1:1-18

One of my co-workers has this catch phrase he uses all the time. And I told him I was going to use it here on the “Verse of the Day” but it has taken me a while to find just the right words to tie it all together. This is for you Leland “Get It, Get It, Get It!

“I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.”
John 14:6

Becoming A Follower Of Jesus
“Get It”
Admit to God that you are captive to sin and have not followed his path for right living.
“Get It”
Believe that the Creator of the world loves you and sent his Son Jesus to take the penalty for your sin.
“Get It”
Confess, ” ‘Jesus is Lord,’ and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved” (Romans 10:9).

You can tell Jesus that you will now follow him:

Jesus, I believe you died for my sins and rose again so I can have new life. I want to turn from my sin. I want to serve and follow you. I give myself to you. Help me now to love you with all my heart and soul and mind. Amen.

Now you “Got It, Got It, Got It!”

A special message in song by Darrell Thompson.

1 Rejoice in the Lord, O ye righteous: for praise is comely for the upright. 2 Praise the Lord with harp: sing unto him with the psaltery and an instrument of ten strings. 3 Sing unto him a new song; play skilfully with a loud noise.
4 For the word of the Lord is right; and all his works are done in truth.
Psalms 33:1-4

Have you truly prepared to be among those who God will wipe away their tears forever?

17 For the Lamb which is in the midst of the throne shall feed them, and shall lead them unto living fountains of waters: and God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes.
Revelation 7:17

3/13/15
No matter who you are! You never have and never will be able to hide from God!

15 And the kings of the earth, and the great men, and the rich men, and the chief captains, and the mighty men, and every bondman, and every free man, hid themselves in the dens and in the rocks of the mountains; 16 And said to the mountains and rocks, Fall on us, and hide us from the face of him that sitteth on the throne, and from the wrath of the Lamb: 17 For the great day of his wrath is come; and who shall be able to stand?
Revelation 6:15-17

3/12/15
This world is not my home and this body is not my own. For all things were created for the pleasure of the Lord.

10 The four and twenty elders fall down before him that sat on the throne, and worship him that liveth for ever and ever, and cast their crowns before the throne, saying, 11 Thou art worthy, O Lord, to receive glory and honour and power: for thou hast created all things, and for thy pleasure they are and were created.
Revelation 4:10-11

When you are playing a game and you don’t know the rules, you can’t follow the rules. If you don’t know God’s word you can’t follow God’s word!

3 Blessed is he that readeth, and they that hear the words of this prophecy, and keep those things which are written therein: for the time is at hand.
Revelation 1:3

Ignorance of the law is no excuse. Ignorance of God’s word there are certainly no excuses for that in today’s high tech world.

Is your prosperity of God or a trick of Satan?

2 Beloved, I wish above all things that thou mayest prosper and be in health, even as thy soul prospereth. 3 For I rejoiced greatly, when the brethren came and testified of the truth that is in thee, even as thou walkest in the truth. 4 I have no greater joy than to hear that my children walk in truth.
3 John 2-4

3/9/15
Don’t let Satan and the world steal your glory. Be an overcomer with Jesus!

3 For this is the love of God, that we keep his commandments: and his commandments are not grievous. 4 For whatsoever is born of God overcometh the world: and this is the victory that overcometh the world, even our faith. 5 Who is he that overcometh the world, but he that believeth that Jesus is the Son of God?
1 John 5:3-5

3/8/15
Love Is?

7 Beloved, let us love one another: for love is of God; and every one that loveth is born of God, and knoweth God. 8 He that loveth not knoweth not God; for God is love. 9 In this was manifested the love of God toward us, because that God sent his only begotten Son into the world, that we might live through him. 10 Herein is love, not that we loved God, but that he loved us, and sent his Son to be the propitiation for our sins. 11 Beloved, if God so loved us, we ought also to love one another. 12 No man hath seen God at any time. If we love one another, God dwelleth in us, and his love is perfected in us.
1 John 4:7-12

Fellowship with Him and One Another

5 This is the message which we have heard from Him and declare to you, that God is light and in Him is no darkness at all. 6 If we say that we have fellowship with Him, and walk in darkness, we lie and do not practice the truth. 7 But if we walk in the light as He is in the light, we have fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus Christ His Son cleanses us from all sin. 8 If we say that we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us. 9 If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness. 10 If we say that we have not sinned, we make Him a liar, and His word is not in us.
1 John 1:5-10

Are you walking in the light? You may deceive yourself and others but you can not deceive God.

The end of time may not come in your lifetime, but the end of your lifetime may come at any time. Be part of the new heavens and new earth accept the Lord as your savior and live each day to glorify him.

10 But the day of the Lord will come as a thief in the night; in the which the heavens shall pass away with a great noise, and the elements shall melt with fervent heat, the earth also and the works that are therein shall be burned up. 11 Seeing then that all these things shall be dissolved, what manner of persons ought ye to be in all holy conversation and godliness, 12 Looking for and hasting unto the coming of the day of God, wherein the heavens being on fire shall be dissolved, and the elements shall melt with fervent heat? 13 Nevertheless we, according to his promise, look for new heavens and a new earth, wherein dwelleth righteousness.
2 Peter 3:10-13

3/5/15

2 Grace and peace be multiplied unto you through the knowledge of God, and of Jesus our Lord, 3 According as his divine power hath given unto us all things that pertain unto life and godliness, through the knowledge of him that hath called us to glory and virtue: 4 Whereby are given unto us exceeding great and precious promises: that by these ye might be partakers of the divine nature, having escaped the corruption that is in the world through lust. 5 And beside this, giving all diligence, add to your faith virtue; and to virtue knowledge; 6 And to knowledge temperance; and to temperance patience; and to patience godliness; 7 And to godliness brotherly kindness; and to brotherly kindness charity. 8 For if these things be in you, and abound, they make you that ye shall neither be barren nor unfruitful in the knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ. 9 But he that lacketh these things is blind, and cannot see afar off, and hath forgotten that he was purged from his old sins. 10 Wherefore the rather, brethren, give diligence to make your calling and election sure: for if ye do these things, ye shall never fall:
2 Peter 1:2-10

3/4/15
10 For he that will love life, and see good days, let him refrain his tongue from evil, and his lips that they speak no guile: 11 Let him eschew evil, and do good; let him seek peace, and ensue it. 12 For the eyes of the Lord are over the righteous, and his ears are open unto their prayers: but the face of the Lord is against them that do evil.
1 Peter 3:10-12

Is Christ your corner stone?

4 To whom coming, as unto a living stone, disallowed indeed of men, but chosen of God, and precious, 5 Ye also, as lively stones, are built up a spiritual house, an holy priesthood, to offer up spiritual sacrifices, acceptable to God by Jesus Christ. 6 Wherefore also it is contained in the scripture, Behold, I lay in Sion a chief corner stone, elect, precious: and he that believeth on him shall not be confounded. 7 Unto you therefore which believe he is precious: but unto them which be disobedient, the stone which the builders disallowed, the same is made the head of the corner,
1 Peter 2:4-7

The most important part of a building is it’s foundation, without a strong foundation the building will eventually fall. If your life is not centered around Christ or he is not your cornerstone you will eventually fail. Build the foundation for your life and all aspects of it around Christ and you will always stand strong.

3/2/15
Have you ever wondered why when you ask God earnestly for something you still don’t receive it?

3 Ye ask, and receive not, because ye ask amiss, that ye may consume it upon your lusts.
James 4:3

I can’t say that every time you ask for something that the reason God does not deliver the way you desire it is because you asked amiss. But God knows the true desires and lusts of our hearts and he will not give you something that is going to cause you to sin. So be sure whatever you ask God for is going to be used to glorify him.

3/1/15
One of the greatest gifts ever given to mankind is also one of the most destructive things ever given to mankind!

5 Even so the tongue is a little member, and boasteth great things. Behold, how great a matter a little fire kindleth! 6 And the tongue is a fire, a world of iniquity: so is the tongue among our members, that it defileth the whole body, and setteth on fire the course of nature; and it is set on fire of hell. 7 For every kind of beasts, and of birds, and of serpents, and of things in the sea, is tamed, and hath been tamed of mankind: 8 But the tongue can no man tame; it is an unruly evil, full of deadly poison. 9 Therewith bless we God, even the Father; and therewith curse we men, which are made after the similitude of God. 10 Out of the same mouth proceedeth blessing and cursing. My brethren, these things ought not so to be.
James 3:5-10

So using the tongue to honor and glorify God is good and using the tongue to speak well of others is good. But all to often the tongue is used to not only speak ill of others and God but is also used to say things we will regret.

2/28/15
Are you the same today, tomorrow and forever?

8 Jesus Christ the same yesterday, and to day, and for ever.
Hebrews 13:8

Are you the same no matter what crowd you are around? Or are you like so many people that change depending on the crowd they are around. People act one way around there church family and yet totally different around there fellow employees. Take a stand for God and live like you should all the time. After all God sees everything you do. I am proud of the people I work with that have prayer time in the mornings before we start work. But we need to remember to serve the Lord all day not just at the morning prayer time.

2/27/15
Without faith we have no hope!

11 Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.
Hebrews 11:1

12 Wherefore seeing we also are compassed about with so great a cloud of witnesses, let us lay aside every weight, and the sin which doth so easily beset us, and let us run with patience the race that is set before us,
Hebrews 12:1

But through faith and God’s will there is nothing that we can not accomplish.

2/26/15
Some people teach/preach once saved always saved. But after reading scriptures like this I am not sure.

35 Cast not away therefore your confidence, which hath great recompence of reward. 36 For ye have need of patience, that, after ye have done the will of God, ye might receive the promise. 37 For yet a little while, and he that shall come will come, and will not tarry. 38 Now the just shall live by faith: but if any man draw back, my soul shall have no pleasure in him.
Hebrews 10:35-38

Either way I am not taking any chances I am going to do my best to always serve the Lord.

2/25/15

23 And whatsoever ye do, do it heartily, as to the Lord, and not unto men;
24 Knowing that of the Lord ye shall receive the reward of the inheritance: for ye serve the Lord Christ.
Colossians 3:23-24

2/24/15

1 Therefore leaving the principles of the doctrine of Christ, let us go on unto perfection; not laying again the foundation of repentance from dead works, and of faith toward God, 2 Of the doctrine of baptisms, and of laying on of hands, and of resurrection of the dead, and of eternal judgment. 3 And this will we do, if God permit.
Hebrews 6:1-3

2/23/15
Our Compassionate High Priest

14 Seeing then that we have a great High Priest who has passed through the heavens, Jesus the Son of God, let us hold fast our confession. 15 For we do not have a High Priest who cannot sympathize with our weaknesses, but was in all points tempted as we are, yet without sin. 16 Let us therefore come boldly to the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy and find grace to help in time of need.
Hebrews 4:14-16

2/22/15
Do you fear death? Are you in bondage to your fear?

14 Forasmuch then as the children are partakers of flesh and blood, he also himself likewise took part of the same; that through death he might destroy him that had the power of death, that is, the devil;
15 And deliver them who through fear of death were all their lifetime subject to bondage.
Hebrews 2:14-15

It is human nature for most people to both fear death and also to grieve at the loss of a loved one. But through the blood of Jesus Christ, Christians have been given the power to overcome death. Yes you may still die a physical death here on earth but your soul will live eternally in heaven. Since we have been given eternal life in heaven as a Christian we really should not fear death. Likewise when a loved one who is saved goes on to be with the Lord we should rejoice. Not at there passing from this earth but for there passing into eternity with God. Do not be in bondage because of the fear of death, unless you have never accepted the Lord as your Saviour. If you have not accepted the Lord there is no time like the present. Especially since we are not promised even our next breath.

2/21/15
Are you sick and tired of being sick and tired? Do you feel like no matter what you do nothing ever goes right?

Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.
St. Matthew 11:28

2/20/15

11 For the grace of God that bringeth salvation hath appeared to all men,
12 Teaching us that, denying ungodliness and worldly lusts, we should live soberly, righteously, and godly, in this present world;
13 Looking for that blessed hope, and the glorious appearing of the great God and our Saviour Jesus Christ;
14 Who gave himself for us, that he might redeem us from all iniquity, and purify unto himself a peculiar people, zealous of good works.
15 These things speak, and exhort, and rebuke with all authority. Let no man despise thee.
Titus 2:11-15

2/19/15
Do these verses describe anyone you know?

1 This know also, that in the last days perilous times shall come.
2 For men shall be lovers of their own selves, covetous, boasters, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy,
3 Without natural affection, trucebreakers, false accusers, incontinent, fierce, despisers of those that are good,
4 Traitors, heady, highminded, lovers of pleasures more than lovers of God;
5 Having a form of godliness, but denying the power thereof: from such turn away.
2 Timothy 3:1-5

2/18/15
7 For God hath not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind.
8 Be not thou therefore ashamed of the testimony of our Lord, nor of me his prisoner: but be thou partaker of the afflictions of the gospel according to the power of God;
9 Who hath saved us, and called us with an holy calling, not according to our works, but according to his own purpose and grace, which was given us in Christ Jesus before the world began,
2 Timothy 1:7-9

2/17/15
In today’s world the rich get richer and the poor get poorer! But if the rich followed God’s word there would be much more benefit to the rich than just having a lot of money.

17 Charge them that are rich in this world, that they be not highminded, nor trust in uncertain riches, but in the living God, who giveth us richly all things to enjoy;
18 That they do good, that they be rich in good works, ready to distribute, willing to communicate;
19 Laying up in store for themselves a good foundation against the time to come, that they may lay hold on eternal life.
1 Timothy 6:17-19

2/16/15
Are you being a good provider for your household? I am not just talking about money. Are you leading them in and providing them with opportunities to worship the Lord.

But if any provide not for his own, and specially for those of his own house, he hath denied the faith, and is worse than an infidel.
1 Timothy 5:8

2/15/15
11 These things command and teach.
12 Let no man despise thy youth; but be thou an example of the believers, in word, in conversation, in charity, in spirit, in faith, in purity.
13 Till I come, give attendance to reading, to exhortation, to doctrine.
14 Neglect not the gift that is in thee, which was given thee by prophecy, with the laying on of the hands of the presbytery.
15 Meditate upon these things; give thyself wholly to them; that thy profiting may appear to all.
16 Take heed unto thyself, and unto the doctrine; continue in them: for in doing this thou shalt both save thyself, and them that hear thee.
1 Timothy 4:11-16

2/14/15

1 I exhort therefore, that, first of all, supplications, prayers, intercessions, and giving of thanks, be made for all men;
2 For kings, and for all that are in authority; that we may lead a quiet and peaceable life in all godliness and honesty.
3 For this is good and acceptable in the sight of God our Saviour;
4 Who will have all men to be saved, and to come unto the knowledge of the truth.
5 For there is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus;
6 Who gave himself a ransom for all, to be testified in due time.
1 Timothy 2:1-6

2/13/15
So you think you have gone beyond God’s help. If God could use Paul he can use you!

14 And the grace of our Lord was exceeding abundant with faith and love which is in Christ Jesus.
15 This is a faithful saying, and worthy of all acceptation, that Christ Jesus came into the world to save sinners; of whom I am chief.
1 Timothy 1:14-15

2/12/15
But the Lord is faithful, who shall stablish you, and keep you from evil.
2 Thessalonians 3:3

2/11/15
Are you too busy minding or tending to everyone else’s business to take care of your own problems?

11 And that ye study to be quiet, and to do your own business, and to work with your own hands, as we commanded you;
12 That ye may walk honestly toward them that are without, and that ye may have lack of nothing.
1 Thessalonians 4:11-12

2/10/15
Beware of the deceivers, those who speak ever so eloquently all the while teaching you a lie. Protect yourself by studying God’s word.

3 For our exhortation was not of deceit, nor of uncleanness, nor in guille:
4 But as we were allowed of God to be put in trust with the gospel, even so we speak; not as pleasing men, but God, which trieth our hearts.
5 For neither at any time used we flattering words, as ye know, nor a cloke of covetousness; God is witness:
1Thessalonians 2:3-5

2/9/15
Just a little reminder for those in positions of authority or leadership.

Masters, give unto your servants that which is just and equal; knowing that ye also have a Master in heaven.
Colossians 4:1

2/8/15
For those who serve the Lord!
24 Knowing that of the Lord ye shall receive the reward of the inheritance: for ye serve the Lord Christ.

For those who don’t serve the Lord!
25 But he that doeth wrong shall receive for the wrong which he hath done: and there is no respect of persons.
Colossians 3:24-25

2/7/15

The Lord thy God in the midst of thee is mighty; he will save, he will rejoice over thee with joy; he will rest in his love, he will joy over thee with singing.

2/6/15

The thief cometh not, but for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy: I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly.
St. John 10:10

2/5/15
As believers in Jesus Christ our battles should not be against one another but against the wiles of the Devil and his disciples. Regardless of denomination of faith.

11 Put on the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil.
12 For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places.
Ephesians 6:11-12

2/4/15
Today’s verses will likely spark some comments. But ladies before you get to upset read the entire post. Oh and men before you get to excited you also need to read the entire post, because you have to be worthy of reverence before you deserve reverence.

21 Submitting yourselves one to another in the fear of God.
22 Wives, submit yourselves unto your own husbands, as unto the Lord.
23 For the husband is the head of the wife, even as Christ is the head of the church: and he is the saviour of the body.
24 Therefore as the church is subject unto Christ, so let the wives be to their own husbands in every thing.
25 Husbands, love your wives, even as Christ also loved the church, and gave himself for it;
26 That he might sanctify and cleanse it with the washing of water by the word,
27 That he might present it to himself a glorious church, not having spot, or wrinkle, or any such thing; but that it should be holy and without blemish.
28 So ought men to love their wives as their own bodies. He that loveth his wife loveth himself.
29 For no man ever yet hated his own flesh; but nourisheth and cherisheth it, even as the Lord the church:
30 For we are members of his body, of his flesh, and of his bones.
31 For this cause shall a man leave his father and mother, and shall be joined unto his wife, and they two shall be one flesh.
32 This is a great mystery: but I speak concerning Christ and the church.
33 Nevertheless let every one of you in particular so love his wife even as himself; and the wife see that she reverence her husband.
Ephesians 5:21-33

God’s word is always true so if you want to be treated as the leader of your household then first you must submit yourself to God. Then in order to get respect or reverence from your wife you must Love your wife as yourself and be a man that fears and loves God and shows God’s love to his wife and family.

2/3/15
Looking unto Jesus the author and finisher of our faith; who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross, despising the shame, and is set down at the right hand of the throne of God.
Hebrews 12:2

2/2/15
God knows your every thought good or bad. He could give you the desires of your thoughts but instead he waits for your requests. If you are looking for something from God go to him humbly in prayer and ask him.

Be careful for nothing: but in every thing by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God.
Philippians 4:6

2/1/15
Are you going through a difficult situation? God is there for you.

Have not I commanded thee? Be strong and of a good courage; be not afraid, neither be thou dismayed: for the Lord thy God is with thee whithersoever thou goest.
Joshua 1:9

1/31/15
But they that wait upon the Lord shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint.
Isaiah 40:31

1/30/15
As a Christian parent it is our job to raise our children to know God and the ways of God.

Train up a child in the way he should go: and when he is old, he will not depart from it.
Proverbs 22:6

As a Christian parent we try to teach our children right from wrong and to always do God’s will. But like most of us did they think parents don’t have a clue in life. They just want to have fun but often don’t think about the consequences of their actions. Our hope and faith has to rely on God, to keep them safe until they realize that the reason we tell them they should not do something is because we often know from experience the consequences of a given action. God gives us free will but he also gives us common sense. Just pray for your kids every day because the world grows more wicked every day.

1/29/15
Do you have sinful temptations? Do you ask God to remove you from those temptations?

There hath no temptation taken you but as is common to man: but God is faithful, who will not suffer you to be tempted above that ye are able; but will with the temptation also make a way to escape, that ye may be able to bear it.
I Corinthians 10:13

If you have sinful temptations in you life don’t make excuses, make time for God. You always have a way out when you rely on God for answers and solutions to your problems.

1/28/15
Fear nothing with God by your side.

For God hath not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind.
II Timothy 1:7

If you have God in your life you have nothing to fear. God has given us power to overcome our fears and to use his power to overcome adversities. Show his love in all you do and always have him on your mind so that the things you fear or worry about, can not take your joy from you.

1/27/15
Without faith you have no relationship with God.

Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.
Hebrews 11:1

We may not be able to see God in the flesh, but even in today’s troubled world we can see the many wondrous things he has done. Things that only God could do. One of the most amazing things ever created by God was you. Have faith in God for the things you need in your life and share your faith with those who have no faith.

1/26/15
What do people see when they look at you? Do they see God’s love?

22 But the fruit of the spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith,
23 Meekness, temperance: against such there is no law.
Galatians 5:22-23

If you claim to be one of God’s children, then you should act like one. You can have all of these qualities and still be a strong person. Love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith, meekness and temperance if you project these qualities at all times you are most certainly a step ahead of most people today. And God’s grace should always be upon you.

1/25/15
The confidence which the church hath in God.

God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble.
Psalm 46:1

Where is your confidence? Do you rely on God for refuge and strength? We often see people who are not God’s children and they seem to need no help and seem to be confident in every thing they do. But remember that is of this world and as a Christian you have a higher purpose. Look to God in times of trial and tribulation.

1/24/15
Were does your trust lie? In the world, in yourself, or in God!

5 Trust in the Lord with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding.
6 In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths.
Proverbs 3:5-6

Do not put your trust in man or things of this world because both will deceive you. Be diligent in seeking Gods guidance in all your endeavors. Do not depend on your instinct because that will often lead you to trouble, but God will never steer you wrong.

1/23/15
Pray about everything, worry about nothing.

Fear thou not; for I am with thee: be not dismayed; for I am thy God: I will strengthen thee; yea, I will help thee; yea, I will uphold thee with the right hand of my righteousness.
Isaiah 41:10

Fear and worry go hand in hand but if we trust God he will be there to help us overcome. Turn to God in prayer if you have fear or worry in your life God already has an answer for you, just ask.

1/22/15
God has a reason and a plan for everything in your life.

And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose.
Romans 8:28

When something good comes into your life that not only lifts your spirits and motivates you to do more for God and his people. You should recognize that this is a gift from God. Do his will and totally commit to him and the results will be phenomenal.

1/21/15
God loves you more than any one else ever has or ever will.

For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.
St. John 3:16

God loves you and is offering you eternal life. Through the blood of his Son Jesus Christ your sins can be forgiven and you can have eternal life. It is your choice. Make the right decision while you still have time.

1/20/15
Do you believe in the power of Christ?

I can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth me.
Philippians 4:13

If you desire to do something in your life that is in Gods will. And you ask for his help, his strength and his favor then you should attain your goal.

1/19/15
All gifts given without charity are worth nothing.

4 Charity suffereth long, and is kind; charity envieth not; charity vaunteth not itself, is not puffed up,
5 Doth not behave itself unseemly, seeketh not her own, is not easily provoked, thinketh no evil;
6 Rejoiceth not in iniquity, but rejoiceth in the truth;
7 Beareth all things, believeth all things, hopeth all things, endureth all things.
8 Charity never faileth: but whether there be prophecies, they shall fail; whether there be tongues, they shall cease; whether there be knowledge, it shall vanish away.
1 Corinthians 13:4-8

When you help someone do you do it with charity or do you expect something in return. A cheerful and charitable giver does so willingly and without expectation of something in return. If you are a Christian and you lead someone to the Lord, what could they possibly give you that is worth what God has already given you for free?

1/18/15
David’s confidence in God’s grace.

1 The Lord is my shepherd; I shall not want.
2 He maketh me to lie down in green pastures: he leadeth me beside the still waters.
3 He restoreth my soul: he leadeth me in the paths of righteousness for his name’s sake.
4 Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil: for thou art with me; thy rod and thy staff they comfort me.
5 Thou preparest a table before me in the presence of mine enemies: thou anointest my head with oil; my cup runneth over.
6 Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life: and I will dwell in the house of the Lord for ever.
Psalm 23:1-6

Is the Lord your shepherd?

1/17/15
For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, saith the Lord, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you an expected end.
Jeremiah 29:11

1/16/15
The temptation of all sins including sexual sins are best fought by fleeing it.

Flee fornication. Every sin that a man doeth is without the body; but he that committeth fornication sinneth against his own body.
1 Corinthians 6:18

7 And it came to pass after these things, that his master’s wife cast her eyes upon Joseph; and she said, Lie with me.
8 But he refused, and said unto his master’s wife, Behold, my master wotteth not what is with me in the house, and he hath committed all that he hath to my hand;
9 There is none greater in this house than I; neither hath he kept back any thing from me but thee, because thou art his wife: how then can I do this great wickedness, and sin against God?
10 And it came to pass, as she spake to Joseph day by day, that he hearkened not unto her, to lie by her, or to be with her.
11 And it came to pass about this time, that Joseph went into the house to do his business; and there was none of the men of the house there within.
12 And she caught him by his garment, saying, Lie with me: and he left his garment in her hand, and fled, and got him out.
Genesis 39:7-12

So the best way to avoid being trapped in sin, is to flee from it. Or better yet do not put yourself into a situation that you know will be a temptation to sin.

1/15/15
Sexual sin adversely impacts our physical, emotional, and spiritual relationships.

16 What? know ye not that he which is joined to an harlot, is one body? for two, saith he, shall be one flesh.
17 But he that is joined unto the Lord is one spirit.
1 Corinthians 6:16-17

Have you ever heard the old saying “If you lie down with the dogs you will get up with fleas.”
Well that pretty much sums it up. But to put it another way, if you put yourself in a relationship of sin you will most often become equally yoked with that sin. This applies to all sin not just that of a sexual nature.

1/14/15
If you truly belong to Christ, sexual immorality should never be part of your life.

14 And God hath both raised up the Lord, and will also raise up us by his own power.
15 Know ye not that your bodies are the members of Christ? shall I then take the members of Christ, and make them the members of an harlot? God forbid.
1 Corinthians 6:14-15

Many people find ways to twist God’s word to justify there actions. But God’s word is just that, it is God’s word and those who change it to fit there needs are only fooling themselves and unfortunately they sometimes fool others. If you find yourself in a situation that you think is contrary to God’s will then it may very well be. The best way to know is to study the Bible for yourself.

1/13/15
God-given desires must be dealt with in God-pleasing ways.

Meats for the belly, and the belly for meats: but God shall destroy both it and them. Now the body is not for fornication, but for the Lord; and the Lord for the body.
1 Corinthians 6:13

Men and women face many challenges in life but one of the greatest is abstinence. When trying to keep the temple Holy the sin of sexual promiscuity is extremely difficult and quite controversial.

Nevertheless, to avoid fornication, let every man have his own wife, and let every woman have her own husband.
1 Corinthians 7:2

So to prevent us from dishonoring God, and the temple, which is the body on loan to us from God, he gives us the answer to this sin and how to avoid it. Sex should be reserved for those who are married.(To each other)

1/12/15
Christian liberty should never be used as an excuse for ungodly living.

All things are lawful unto me, but all things are not expedient: all things are lawful for me, but I will not be brought under the power of any.
1 Corinthians 6:12

Just because we can ask forgiveness for our sins does not give us free reign to willingly and repeatedly commit sin.
I know I just recently posted verses on this subject but for whatever reason that is what God keeps bringing before me. If you willingly and repeatedly commit the same sins over and over again are you sure you are God’s child? We will all sin that is why Jesus died on the cross to cover our sins. Because God knows we are human and sin is in our nature. But as a Christian we should maintain the temple by studying God’s word so we can grow stronger in the resistance to avoid sin. Look at your body, look at your life. Is it something Jesus would be proud of.

1/11/15
Do you “Glorify God with Your Body?”

19 What? know ye not that your body is the temple of the Holy Ghost which is in you, which ye have of God, and ye are not your own?
20 For ye are bought with a price: therefore glorify God in your body, and in your spirit, which are God’s.
1 Corinthians 6:19-20

Are you keeping the temple pure? Is everything that goes into your body and more importantly what comes out of your body honoring God? Personally I know that I have not been taking care of the temple. I am over weight and out of shape. That is why Alice and I have started working on that. We have a lot to live for and would like to continue without being on all kinds of medicine. God provides everything we need here on earth to live healthy lifestyles. But because of our busy lives we often do not take time to care for ourselves. But since our bodies are not our bodies but actually a representation of the temple of God we must do more to keep the temple in shape. That does not just apply to the outward appearance.

1/10/15
The preaching of the gospel, not ministry styles, must be our main concern.

16 And I baptized also the household of Stephanas: besides, I know not whether I baptized any other.
17 For Christ sent me not to baptize, but to preach the gospel: not with wisdom of words, lest the cross of Christ should be made of none effect.
18 For the preaching of the cross is to them that perish foolishness; but unto us which are saved it is the power of God.

Listen to the word being preached or taught then study your Bible yourself to make sure that what is being said is accurate. Go to hear the word not the speaker. Because some people speak ever so sweet but yet what they say is sour as lemons.

1/9/15
It is past time for Christians to be united in the one Lord, in whose name we are saved and baptized.

14 I thank God that I baptized none of you, but Crispus and Gaius;
15 Lest any should say that I had baptized in mine own name.
Corinthians 1:14-15

Neither is there salvation in any other: for there is none other name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved.
Acts 4:12

5 One Lord, one faith, one baptism,
6 One God and Father of all, who is above all, and through all, and in you all.
Ephesians 4:5-6

There are many paths to take but only one leads to eternal life. Regardless of your denomination we all have to come to God the same way. Through conviction and salvation through and the covering of our sins by the blood of Jesus.

1/8/15
Trouble always starts when we emphasize the messengers over the message.

12 Now this I say, that every one of you saith, I am of Paul; and I of Apollos; and I of Cephas; and I of Christ.
13 Is Christ divided? was Paul crucified for you? or were ye baptized in the name of Paul?
I Corinthians 1:12-13

Regardless of the messenger the message must be the same. I have attended many different churches of various denominations and even different racial compositions. But as long as the word was from God I always received a blessing from the services I attended. It did not matter about the color of the speaker or the denomination of the church. (I was a little shocked the first time I went to a Pentecostal church.) As long as they have the message One God, One Way, by the Blood of Jesus Christ. You can’t get to Heaven without salvation.

1/7/15
Only through God and open, honest communication is there hope to solve the divisions in the church.

For it hath been declared unto me of you, my brethren, by them which are of the house of Chloe, that there are contentions among you.
I Corinthians 1:11

I am not talking about any particular church. I am talking about the need for all of God’s churches to come together to stand against the corruption of this world. Here in the U.S. the churches are all too busy arguing over who’s doctrine is correct instead of standing together and fighting the moral decay of our country. Sin is commonplace and some churches or church leaders believe that as long as everybody is happy then everyone is going to heaven. There sure are a lot of people that are in for a rude awakening.

1/6/15
Are you willing to be part of, A Call to Unity?

Now I beseech you, brethren, by the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, that ye all speak the same thing, and that there be no divisions among you; but that ye be perfectly joined together in the same mind and in the same judgement.
I Corinthians 1:10

It is time for all denominations and all religions that preach, teach and live the one and only True God’s word to come together. The truth is, there is only one way to receive salvation and that is by the Blood of Jesus Christ.

1/5/15
When the wise earnestly seek God’s instruction, God gives wisdom and understanding to those who truly desire it.

11 Then answered I, and said unto him, What are these two olive trees upon the right side of the candlestick and upon the left side thereof?
12 And I answered again, and said unto him, What be these two olive branches which through the two golden pipes empty the golden oil out of themselves?
13 And he answered me and said, Knowest thou not what these be? And I said, No, my Lord.
14 Then said he, These are the two anointed ones, that stand by the Lord of the whole earth.
Zechariah 4:11-14

5 If any of you lack wisdom, let him ask of God, that giveth to all men liberally, and upbraideth not; and it shall be given him.
James 1:5

So if you are at least smart enough to ask God for help, then you have already crossed the first hurdle. So now you just have to listen to what God tells you. And that is the most difficult part for most of us. Because we don’t wait on God’s instruction.

1/4/15
For His glory, God often prefers using small things of life to accomplish His mighty works.

For who hath despised the day of small things? for they shall rejoice, and shall see the plummet in the hand of Zerubbabel with those seven; they are the eyes of the Lord, which run to and fro through the whole earth.
Zechariah 4:10

Just like yesterday morning when I prayed that God would allow the radio in my car to start working again. So I could listen to Christian music and Gods word. This may have been a small miracle but it lifted my heart and spirit because it gave me assurance that God not only hears my prayers. But he also answers them. If you have a need big or small turn to God, he can take care of all your needs.

1/3/15
“Let Go And Let God” What God starts, he will finish.

7 Who art thou, O great mountain? before Zerubbabel thou shalt become a plain: and he shall bring forth the headstone thereof with shoutings, crying, Grace, grace unto it.
8 Moreover the word of the Lord came unto me, saying,
9 The hands of Zerubbabel have laid the foundation of this house; his hand shall also finish it; and thou shalt know that the Lord of hosts hath sent me unto you.
Zechariah 4:7-9

6 Being confident of this very thing, that he which hath begun a good work in you will perform it until the day of Jesus Christ:
Philippians 1:6

Have you been under conviction or even received salvation but have back slidin or just feel like you life with Christ is at a stand still? Don’t be a roadblock move out of the way and let God have control of your life. If you will let him he will lead you to your destination and a fulfill his plan for your life.

1/2/15
If you truly desire to please God, He’s got your back!

5 There shall not any man be able to stand before thee all the days of thy life: as I was with Moses, so I will be with thee: I will not fail the, nor forsake thee.
6 Be strong and of a good courage: for unto this people shalt thou divide for an inheritance the land, which I sware unto their fathers to give them.
7 Only be thou strong and very courageous, that thou mayest observe to do according to all the law, which Moses my servant commanded thee: turn not from it to the right hand or to the left, that thou mayest prosper whithersoever thou goest.
8 This book of the law shall not depart out of thy mouth; but thou shalt meditate therein day and night, that thou mayest observe to do according to all that is written therein: for then thou shalt make thy way prosperous, and then thou shalt have good success.
9 Have not I commanded thee? Be strong and of a good courage; be not afraid, neither be thou dismayed: for the Lord thy God is with thee whithersoever thou goest.
Joshua 1:5-9

1/1/15
Welcome to 2015!
With God You To “Can Have Hope for a New Day”

6 Then he answered and spake unto me, saying, This is the word of the Lord unto Ze-rub’-ba-bel, saying, Not by might, nor by power, but by my spirit, saith the Lord of hosts.
Zechariah 4:6

This verse has been an encouragement to God’s people over and over again. It tells of the hope that God will yet show Himself in a new way, on a new day. Over and over we find ourselves in need of a new encounter or revival with God throughout our lives and ministries. This verse gives us the assurance that God will be there at our times of need.

For a better understanding of this verse open your Bible and read Nehemiah 7:1-7; Haggai 2:20-23; Zechariah 4:1-14
God Bless and start 2015 with God as the focus of you life.

12/31/14
“Strive To Live Pure Lives”
Is the seed yet in the barn? yea, as yet the vine, and the fig tree, and the pomegranate, and the olive tree, hath not brought forth: from this day will I bless you.
Haggai 2:19

If you look back ten days to the message I shared you will see that once again God has confirmed his word to me. I told you in that message that we should See No Evil, Hear No Evil, Speak No Evil and Do No Evil. God knows there was but one man who has ever been perfect but we should “Strive To Live Pure Lives”. Take the time to read Haggai 2:10-19 to better understand Gods desire for us to put him first in all we do.
Thank you for taking the time to read the Verse of the Day and God bless each of you through this last day of 2014 and into 2015. Make today your day to commit to God for there is no promise of tomorrow.

12/30/14
“It’s time to trust God’s promises.”
9 The glory of this latter house shall be greater than of the former, saith the Lord of hosts: and in this place will I give peace, saith the Lord of hosts.
Haggai 2:9
So my prayer today is that this Verse of the Day will reach far more people than ever before not for our glory but for the glory of the Lord.

12/29/14
Well once again I have been lazy and not kept up with the Verse of the Day. I used the excuse that we had ran out of data at home and my phone does not have very good service to allow myself to not do my part in sharing God’s word. And of course the first thing I read today as I am preparing to get back to posting a Verse of the Day is this statement. “It is important not only to start God’s work but also to finish it.”

1 In the second year of Darius the king, in the sixth month, in the first day of the month, came the word of the LORD by Haggai the prophet unto Zerubbabel the son of Shealtiel, governor of Judah, and to Joshua the son of Josedech, the high priest, saying,
2 Thus speaketh the LORD of hosts, saying, This people say, The time is not come, the time that the LORD’S house should be built.
3 Then came the word of the LORD by Haggai the prophet, saying,
4 Is it time for you, O ye, to dwell in your cieled houses, and this house lie waste?
5 Now therefore thus saith the LORD of hosts; Consider your ways.
6 Ye have sown much, and bring in little; ye eat, but ye have not enough; ye drink, but ye are not filled with drink; ye clothe you, but there is none warm; and he that earneth wages earneth wages to put it into a bag with holes.
7 Thus saith the LORD of hosts; Consider your ways.
8 Go up to the mountain, and bring wood, and build the house; and I will take pleasure in it, and I will be glorified, saith the LORD.
9 Ye looked for much, and, lo, it came to little; and when ye brought it home, I did blow upon it. Why? saith the LORD of hosts. Because of mine house that is waste, and ye run every man unto his own house.
10 Therefore the heaven over you is stayed from dew, and the earth is stayed from her fruit.
11 And I called for a drought upon the land, and upon the mountains, and upon the corn, and upon the new wine, and upon the oil, and upon that which the ground bringeth forth, and upon men, and upon cattle, and upon all the labour of the hands.
12 Then Zerubbabel the son of Shealtiel, and Joshua the son of Josedech, the high priest, with all the remnant of the people, obeyed the voice of the LORD their God, and the words of Haggai the prophet, as the LORD their God had sent him, and the people did fear before the LORD.
13 Then spake Haggai the LORD’S messenger in the LORD’S message unto the people, saying, I am with you, saith the LORD.
14 And the LORD stirred up the spirit of Zerubbabel the son of Shealtiel, governor of Judah, and the spirit of Joshua the son of Josedech, the high priest, and the spirit of all the remnant of the people; and they came and did work in the house of the LORD of hosts, their God,
15 In the four and twentieth day of the sixth month, in the second year of Darius the king.
Haggai 1:1-15

0 to 60 and back to 0
That may well be the fate of Verse of the Day on Facebook.
We did not actually make it to 60 Likes but in just one week we went from 16 to 56. Now because of the controversy of what some well know TV personalities are saying about the Bible, the Apostles, Repentance and Salvation. I have decided that a Verse from the Bible is not enough for today. So I am going to share a message I preached a while back.
See No Evil, Hear No Evil, Speak No Evil
God Bless the words I share and let this be your will and words and not mine. Amen.
How many times have you though, said or heard someone else make this statement. “If I sin I can just ask forgiveness and everything will be okay!”
If you sin(and by the way sin is evil)yes you can ask for forgiveness and if you are sincere you can be forgiven. But what if you don’t live to ask for forgiveness.
Let’s look at 1 John 2:1-2
My little children, these things write I unto you, that ye sin not. And if any man sin, we have an advocate with the Father, Jesus Christ the righteous:
And he is the propitiation for our sins: and not for our’s only, but also for the sins of the whole world.

So what do these verses tell us:
1 Not to sin!
2 But if we do sin(because God knows we will!)Jesus’s blood can cover our sins.

I have said this before, but for 50 years I have heard we are living in the end times.
And if you read your Bible(don’t just take what the preacher says as the the gospel)you can see that ever since the Bible was written and even before. People have been being warned that we are living in the end times.
And I think in some ways that has made us be complacent in being prepared for that end time.
We have heard this for so many years that most people just don’t believe it is going to happen. Or at least they don’t live like they believe it.

1 If you are truly devoted to God would you repeatedly commit the same sins?
2 Would you willingly and repeatedly watch things you shouldn’t?
3 Would you willingly and repeatedly say things you shouldn’t?
And now I will add one more thing to my list and Title.
4 Would you willingly and repeatedly do things you shouldn’t?

These next few verses should answer these questions for you and also give you some insight as to weather or not you are truly saved.

1 John 2:3-6
3 And hereby we do know that we know him, if we keep his commandments.
4 He that saith, I know him, and keepeth not his commandments, is a liar, and the truth is not in him.
5 But whoso keepeth his word, in him verily is the love of God perfected: hereby know we that we are in him.
6 He that saith he abideth in him ought himself also so to walk, even as he walked.

This is a harsh and hard statement, but this is straight from the Bible not my words but Gods word.
So let me break this down for you. We know we know God if we keep his commandments. If you say you know God and don’t keep his commandments you are a liar.

If you keep his word and live by his word(Some of the time)you are good! No!!!
If you keep his word in you and live by his word all the time you will know that he is in you and you are in him!
If you say you are a child of God you should live as a child of God.

So why is my title:See No Evil, Hear No Evil, Speak No Evil, Do No Evil
If we give into what the world and even some churches tell us. And believe the lie that we can see, listen to, say or do whatever we want. And it will be okay. We are not keeping Gods commandments.
See No Evil
TV shows, movies, videos or anything else you see that is ungodly and you willingly and repeatedly watch you are not keeping Gods commandments.
And what did verse 4 say? If you don’t keep God’s commandments but yet you say you are a child of God you are nothing more than a liar!
Hear No Evil
Music, language, jokes, conversations. Again anything you willingly and repeatedly hear or listen to that is contrary to God’s commandments is wrong.
Let me put it another way. If Jesus would not listen to it then neither should you.
Speak No Evil
This is one of the hardest because we all say things we shouldn’t. I am not just talking about things like vulgar language but anything we gossip about lies, jokes we tell, stories, songs. If it comes out of your mouth and would sting God’s ears it is probably sinful and therefore evil.

Gracious Father, Thou hast taught us to call upon Thee when in distress and sorrow. Thou hast promised to deliver and to heal. We come now asking for Thy healing power to be effective within the life of one who is sick.(Little Ms. Aubrey) Work through the doctors, nurses, medicines and remedies which are at her disposal. But back of all human help, there is the strong need for divine cure. We know that human help is ordained of God but when we have gone as far as we can go we must recognize that all is in Thy hands. So give strength and healing as seems wise unto Thee, and we submit ourselves unto Thy Holy will. Amen.

1 My little children, these things write I unto you, that ye sin not. And if any man sin, we have an advocate with the Father, Jesus Christ the righteous:
2 And he is the propitiation for our sins: and not for ours only, but also for the sins of the whole world.
3 And hereby we do know that we know him, if we keep his commandments.
1 John 2:1-3

1 John 1:8-10

9/14/14
5 This then is the message which we have heard of him, and declare unto you, that God is light, and in him is no darkness at all.
6 If we say that we have fellowship with him, and walk in darkness, we lie, and do not the truth:

Thank you for visiting almightyblog.com we pray you find the information we bring you to be helpful and informative.
Because our real goal here is to help others help themselves. But when they can’t help themselves to be here to lend a hand.

Ok so I originally started this website to help others find ways to save and make money. And to make money for my family. But I think God has a different plan. I am working on something that will probably take this website in a whole new direction. Please check back tomorrow night for a first in my life, and hopefully something that will change the lives of others for the better. But for now I have something extra to share besides the Verse of the Day.

If any of you look at our Facebook or Twitter you will have noticed I asked for your prayers for our Pastor Bro. Danny Cope. He has been sick for a while and is not doing well. Plus I have many other people in my life: family, friends, coworkers and church family that are sick or have family or friends that are sick.

So I want to share this prayer with you all. It is from my old bible so it is not an original work but the Author is unlisted, but it is a powerful prayer. Especially if you share it with others.

Prayer for the Sick
Gracious Father, Thou hast taught us to call upon Thee when in distress and sorrow. Thou hast promised to deliver and to heal. We come now asking for Thy healing power to be effective within the life of one who is sick. Work through the doctors, nurses, medicines and remedies which are at his disposal. But back of all human help, there is the strong need for the divine cure. We know that human help is ordained of God but when we have gone as far as we can go we must recognize that all is in Thy hands. So give strength and healing as seems wise unto Thee, and we submit ourselves unto Thy holy will. Amen.
